Twas large. Twas...so large.

Seems like Marshall looked at Del Toro’s filmography and said “well in one film he has a monster penis so that’s what people want”.

Hawkman: I’ll see myself out...

And Steven Spielberg pulls a “Scanners”!

That damn snowball haunts my nightmares.

In all seriousness, between the Devon Tower, Bank of Oklahoma building, and Skirvin Hilton, there are at least a few pretty interesting looking landmarks that make up the skyline.

I hope you’re right, cause now I will be really disappointed if that doesn’t happen.

Exactly. I would bet good money that the Oklahoma City skyline has not forced its way into anyone’s memory after those five seconds of it in “Logan”.

Dustbowl 2 does make me excited for the long lost Steinbeck manuscript to reemerge and finally get published:

The book is set in Oklahoma City!

See, if Tracy Letts didn’t make it seem like we all have horrible, downtrodden, vindictive, and occasionally incestuous family lives, we could have hidden the truth that we’re all just painfully boring for another decade!

Except the scenes were set in New Mexico.

“Honey, the shoot’s takin’ longer than I thought. Put my lasagna in the fridge.”

I would add Wes Anderson to this too! He’s been a double edged sword for me as “Moonrise Kingdom”, “Grand Budapest Hotel”, and “Fantastic Mr. Fox” were all very influential for me, but sometimes I get caught thinking about how intricate I would make a frame, or how precise I would want the acting to be or the story to

These all sound fantastic. I’ve loved fantasy since I was a kid, but it’s always been difficult to feel comfortable telling smaller magical stories, so I’m putting “Portrait of Jennie” on a soon-to-watch list!

Thank you so much! A lot of advice here that I’m writing down before I lose it! :)

Awesome! It’s sometimes hard to see something older in a theater around where I live, but the Harkins and art museum nearby does classic movie nights, which I am definitely taking advantage of this summer.

Absolutely not annoying! I’ve actually been doing that quite a bit. I’m a huge fan of Austin Kleon, and his books “Steal Like an Artist” and “Show Your Work” have been super helpful to me. I’ve begun taking a journal with me everywhere and trying to always have a book I’m reading.
