As soon as I read the headline, I thought “Prague.” So glad to see it at #1! One more reason to like it: they have a looser definition of “street legal” than most places in the states. I was walking through there once and heard the sound of a big thumper coming around the corner. I looked up expecting to see a dirt

I’m not sure why I’m even commenting because of the seething Harley hate in the article but what the heck. By chance what kind of cars do you see cops in? Usually American made ones perhaps? You don’t see them in BMW’s or other performance cars even though the average cop car can be outrun by one. Hmmmm. I wonder why

The Levi’s edition Gremlin is kinda fun.

In the spirit of all the recent VW emissions things...

To deliver features you can’t get without spending drastically more money. For example installing DDWRT or OpenWRT will give you way better tools, better stability, and far more features than what linksys or D-link gives you. like real routing tables, real firewall rules, etc...

I hate Fedex, I shipped a metal mac tower cross country once with full insurance and they abused the box so bad the whole metal case was bent. After a lengthy fight their conclusion was “we weren’t responsible for the damage so we won’t pay the insurance”. Some bullshit.

So let me get this straight, when a package is lost, UPS looks at the value and not say, the fucking label still attached to the box with the tracking number?

Visit their Facebook page. It has been flooded with hate since the video hit the front page of reddit

LOL!

Exactly, “Hey you should really pay extra because if we fail at our primary business function that you are paying us for it’s on you.”

Several years ago, I ordered a used-in-good-shape guitar (Ibanez S470) off of ebay and the seller sent it to my office via UPS. When it arrived, the mailroom guy called and told me I needed to come down and look at it.

For me, it’s pretty much the opposite. Some of my worst shipping experiences has been with USPS. FedEx and UPS sit about the same with me getting better, and more consistent, delivery results with UPS. The worst thing I have happened with UPS and FedEx is having to be home to sign for a package or drive 1.5 hours to

The whole point of insurance on a UPS package seems ridiculous to me. In what other industry do you have to pay extra money, to ensure that the company is responsible for the service you’re already paying them to complete?

I’m shocked that it wasn’t smashed as well. My company ships large heavy goods via UPS Freight every day and I get at least two customer complaints per month when the crate shows up at their warehouse smashed. UPS inevitably claims that it was like that when they picked it up. I then send them surveilance images of a

Except that not meeting the standards is not the same as dirtier. VW TDIs beat both the standards and the averages of peer vehicles in every other metric: unburned fuel bypass, evaporative losses, VOC release, total hydrocarbon, CO2, CO, particulate emissions, etc. Plus the whole 30% better fuel economy than standard

Cars in China, India, and other places with zero emissions regulations and the usage of coal/natural gas to power everyone’s electricity do a couple of orders of magnitude more damage to the environment than these VW’s did as a whole.

Yeah they’re basically a caricature now thanks exclusively to their owners.

I am a really heavy Waze user- I think I’m like #900 in my state. The day I can selectively remove only “Vehicle Stopped on Shoulder” is the day I will consider Waze to be all grown up. So many little things make it just not quite perfect.
