You could change the Explorer Shell File Type Association for .dat files to open with (Notepad) the text editor of your choice.

Yeah if you have system files failing to checksum correctly, I'd be very suspicious of a (poorly hidden) rootkit or other malware being present. All may appear to be well, but unless you know that you're running custom binaries and exactly where the exceptions are, I would investigate further.

Still, sometimes hard disks are physically fine to keep using, but suffer from the occasional bad sector and corrupted files those bad sectors can cause. Windows tries its best to correct those problems for you, and it does a pretty good job. But if you ever notice that certain programs just refuse to start or you get

Windows can usually detect when a system file is missing and replace it for you without any intervention on your part. You typically won't even be notified when it happens. But even with this ability, system files can become corrupted or the wrong versions of system files can get installed by errant applications.

No not the same, I don't try to frame video behind me and to the side of me when I glance at my phone while driving. It's fixed to my windshield with a mount and I generally use Bt voice controls whenever possible.

Both assholes, the only thing that would've made this video better would be if the driver that was clearly not watching where she was going, also careened (safely avoiding other drivers) off of the road into her own vehicular demise.

The vast majority of GM W-Bodies, GM looooves their slushboxes and 3800 series.

This lady at my work used to drive a Woody T&C Turbo with a 5-speed, she didn't even know what a turbo was or that her "hoopdee van" was even remotely desirable to anyone.

I realize my post sounds condescending, that wasn't my intent. Just adding some levity and a different perspective on the whole OMG Hybrid vs Diesel vs Electric fanaticism. Should everyone DD a truck or SUV? Hell no, but you shouldn't feel bad for driving what you want either.

Ever looked at the carbon footprint of a child or pet? They're massive in comparison to a car, especially in a first world country. Then you look at countries like China and India who have massive populations and give zero fucks about the environment. In other words, arguing about which one is better for the

My dad had a Lighting Blue 9-3 Viggen "company car" back in the early 00's, just like this, it was F'n sweet.

Well that was an expensive mistake!

Who the hell does a blindfold anything comptetiton in a vintage Supra?

My thoughts exactly, I really like what they're doing with the Camaros and Vettes these days.!

This is the situation I'm in, my house was built in '80, it was one of the first homes in the development, which is a recreational community built around a lake with 8 other stocked ponds in the community. There are also several other large lakes, campgrounds, state parks and the Ohio river all within short distance.

F the HOA, your pops is a hero!

This new (yet again) commenting system is garbage, it just keeps scrolling the same 5 comments endlessly when you go to the bottom of the page.

I'm not entirely certain if this is what you meant, but the Solaris, Linux and QNX kernels do not have very much in common once you get past POSIX compatible API's. There are some similarities in the user-land tools running on top of them, thanks to GNU. My point is that it really doesn't matter too much which OS you

Glad to see we have the condescending pedantic for the thread.

...or you have to poop really bad, that sometimes works.
