I'd like to see a Venn Diagram of people who are outraged over The Patriot Act and the TSA (a.k.a unreasonable search and seizure) vs those who support mandatory roadblocks and checkpoints (a.k.a unreasonable search and seizure), I'd bet there's an inexplicable overlap.

In a later pic, he's washing it off of his face with a torrent of Skyy vodka.

They added mobile app integration for USB connected iOS and Android devices, so you can do voice commands on supported apps like Pandora, Slacker, Stitcher, Sync Destinations, etc.
Marginally useful stuff, I'm sure there's a comprehensive list of new features somewhere on syncmyride.com.

However, they were thoughtful enough to break Bluetooth Autoplay on the last update they released for 1st Gen Sync, which came loaded on mine when I bought it. Yeah, you could say I'm a little jaded, this is literally the only thing I actually use Sync for and expect it to do, play music from my mobile device.

My 2012 Ford Raptor with the bastard red headed stepchild that is 1st Gen Sync, that has never received a single update since I bought the truck in March of 2012. Mark my word, this will be the end of Sync updates when the next generation based upon a completely different platform comes into primary development. It

"I will never pay a single dollar for another car manufacturer supplied integrated system again. I'm more likely to pay to not have one."

Doesn't matter, they won't be making any more updates to Sync anyways.

Sync does that too, the 1st gen (w/out MFT) does anyways.

If it's 1st Gen Sync w/out MFT DO NOT upgrade your Sync software to the last release, they broke Autoplay. See my previous post for more details.

QNX is an embedded OS that was already in things that you use every day, long before RIM even acquired them; it will still be in use even if Blackberry ever does go further to hell.

I love how I have to either issue the "Bluetooth Audio" voice command, or hit: [Aux] [Menu] [>] [>] [Ok] every time I start the damn truck expecting music to resume playing where it left off, that's by far my favorite Sync feature. I have that button sequence ingrained in my motor memory now. Some day it's going to be

My 2012 Raptor with 1st gen Sync does this shit and it is infuriating. From what I've read online, the previous firmware behaved as we all expect it to, but a few lametard Sync owners who couldn't be bothered to learn how to turn Autoplay off, complained about it, so they supposedly broke Autoplay in the last firmware

The parts aren't at all that expensive if you work on a VW yourself. As for electrical issues, the newer VW's are all CAN Bus, they're super easy to troubleshoot if you have access to Vagcomm or an equivalent scan tool.

"...look like an old guy in cargo pants on a day hike."

Damn, that's impressive! It turns out that passenger airliners are quite a bit more resilient than I thought.

Hold on folks, we're coming in hot!

Interesting, I've heard diesel (truck) mechanic friends say they hate working on Mercedes diesels, but they also say that they're very reliable engines if they're taken care of. Cummins, I've never heard anyone but rabid fanbois say anything bad about them.

The damage may not be immediately apparent, I've seen HEUI injection systems like the ones Ford (International/Navistar) used in their Powerstroke 7.3's appear to chug along happily after burning gas only to end up needing several very expensive new or refurb'd injectors the following winter. The Bosch HPFP's used in

That was the case in older Diesels with indirect injection systems, but modern unit injectors and common rail injection systems will certainly be damaged or completely trashed by anything more than trace amounts of gasoline, the tolerances are much higher.

Fox warranties, services and rebuilds these shocks, even outside of the manufacturer's warranty. They aren't throw-aways like your typical gas charged Rancho. I wouldn't expect them to provide any deep discounts, unless they were a one-off model, it would screw up their pricing strategy. That said, the ones on the
