I was thinking the same thing, GM's old 2.8, 3.1 and 3.4 V6's had a very distinctive sound, even for a 6 cylinder.

The more I look at all these different vehicles people are posting, the more I realize that pretty much every vehicle besides the N/A inline 4 gas engines in econoboxes sound distinctly different to me.

Cummins B Series inline sixes also have a distinctive sound.

I'll 3rd that, I had a '98 TJ with the 4.0, the thing handled great, towed great, was surprisingly quick with it's high power to weight ratio and was a beast offroad with minimal mods. I really do miss my Wrangler.
