@geolemon: You do realize that only 17% of cell phones world wide are smart phones? iPhone only accounts for 2% of cell phones while Nokia sits on a 40% market share. I'm not sure "death bell tolls" rings true here... call me an optimist.
@Daniel Matthew Donithan: Those were Estes Rockets. Standard Boy Scout model rocket. I know, I lit one off in my bedroom :P They use pre-made engines which contain some chemical compound. [www.estesrockets.com]
@JRock: Windows 7 loves you too :)
@meatbag_pussrocket: I actually have to agree with @ddhboy at this point. This is coming from a Zune, Xbox, Live, W7, and pining-over-WP7-for-years guy. And I'm not agreeing because Microsoft can't build a mobile OS that measures up to iOS or Android— it simply wasn't their goal.
@Chernobyl: I don't know about MSN Messenger, but yes, you have been able to talk to people on cell phones from your computer using Skype— for years!!
@danzor!: That was awesome :D
@scottlandk: Would this drinking game involve star commenters making commenters that I would have promoted if they hadn't already been star commenters? Because if so, I now have two shots to catch up on!
"The new MacBook Airs are ... better suited for cutting cheese than ever"
@BOOTS! on TheTXKid: I would have promoted this comment with my new amazing star power. Unfortunately you stole my thunder by already having your own amazing star power.
@kifac: That photo is old enough that those could be the guerrilla whitewashers: the early years.
@Hearthatvoiceagain is awaiting his little green chum: Fair enough.
This story is a good illustration of how Microsoft is really getting behind WP7 developers. Microsoft did the research and trending up front for its developers. They figured out that trial/lite versions of apps can truly propel profits for developers. So they included APIs to make trial versions easier to develop…
@peopleinthisthread: You all suck at the internet. I found the cancel auto-renewal in under 2 minutes following links on the site. It ain't that hard.
@HaveBlogWillTravel: Most people will know what you're talking about if you say Metro. That's the name for the large fonts and simple button/icons design.
Makes my Zune Pass look that much better! $4500 keeps me downloading and listening to nearly any music I want for the next 25 years. No RIAA breathing down my neck! Oh, and I get to keep my car.
@junyo: The RIAA doesn't sue because you stole the song. They sue for sharing it back out to other people. Buying the music on CD doesn't give you the right to distribute it, so it doesn't get you anywhere legally.
@maximum_sarge: The RIAA doesn't sue for stealing the song. They sue for sharing the song, so the math works a bit differently.
@Ryan The Roamer: I lol'd.
@Diogenes-the-Cynic: I didn't say they're doing great, but they aren't hurting either. What they ARE doing is rebuilding and reinventing. This is exactly what people have been calling for.
