Perhaps the point of the app is to collect data. Returning the measurement would allow the user to create a game out of finding highest and lowest air pollution densities.

I've put IE9 down as too soon to tell. Feels like the fastest browser to me, but they need to resolve some javascript issues which conflict with posting on some of my frequented sites. That aside, I find it to compete on every level with Firefox and Chrome.
