Fun fact: since she didn’t run away to England like deGaulle she was kind of backed into a corner about that like most Parisian businesspeople.

It really has been and it sucks. Dismiss, dismiss, dismiss!!

Noooooo! I was wondering why you disappeared. As a long time lurker (who has just started commenting) I really enjoy hearing your perspective and speaking with you.

Gawker refugees? I always found that site attracted a lot of outspoken snarky assholes, so I read the articles and generally avoided leaving comments.

Please don’t leave! You were one of the first people to greet me on this site (as a young grayling) and I would miss you terribly.

Congrats on your haircut!

Noooo, don’t go. We love you, even lurkers like me. ♡

They had a Star Trek exhibition at The Franklin Institute a few years ago. It was called the Science of Star Trek and was a complete nerd fest. But the ultimate, unbelievable coolest thing in the whole exhibit was a replica of the bridge. I sat in the captain’s chair !!!!!!!!!!! Greatest time ever !

I love the dismiss button so much.

Not one in particular, and not toward me alone. There’s a general trend lately.

I think the focus with the movie and most TV shows is on upper middle class families. Middle and lower class families usually can’t afford a SAHM situation, whether the mom wants to or not.

Note: Responses that are insane, false and/or misleading, baiting, reveal that the respondent didn’t read the post, or attempt to “well actually” me about my own personal history will be summarily dismissed.

I buzzed my father’s hair off twice during his treatment. He had the most beautiful curly hair.

You look great! Awesome costume!

I grew up with Wonder Woman. Cartoons, comics, dolls, TV show. She was an enormously empowering figure for girls then, and I think the occasional honoring of fictional characters as honorary ambassadors is wonderfully whimsical — in a world that could sorely use a little good-natured whimsy, particularly at the
