But that same year, the U.S. got Cappuchino-flavored, so it all balances out.

I WOULD BUY A PALLET-LOAD.

Sure, but Grandma Utz > Lay’s Kettle Cooked > Utz Kettle Cooked

No lie, whenever I am visiting my family in PA, I buy far more bags of Grandma Utz to take home than scrapple and pork roll combined. (And I buy quite a bit of both of those, believe me.)

I used to bite my nails when I was younger. I don’t any longer, (although I have never allowed my nails to get more than about 3/8ths of an inch long; also, they split, so I have to trim them frequently).

Solidarity. I just wanted to say that I don’t have long nails, have never had nails long enough to put polish on, and don’t see myself having nails any time soon. And yet... the tortiseshell and marbled turquoise both made me briefly wish for nails.

When I was a teen, I worked in a library in the summer on a resort island. The odd thing is that the the worst thing I ever remember dealing with was being on “sand duty”. (People would come down for vacation, and legitimately have library cards, come to the library and check out a billion picture books for their

I think in MA it may vary from town to town. Even more annoying, in Cambridge MA, I believe the law is “no riding bikes on sidewalks in a commercial zone” or whatever the wording is. (Like, not where the shops are. But presumably it’s okay on residential streets? I don’t know. All I know is that nobody pays the least

I think a lot of restaurants have simply given up, and they just put it on the menu as “Salmon Eggs Benedict”. It’s awesome to know it has a specific term, but...

Ohhhhhhhh my goooooddddddd.

Came here for this gif. Not disappointed.

I’ve often wondered if it came about because the crown prince of France was called “the Dauphin” (which is the Old French for “dolphin”), and his heraldic badge was a dolphin. But in heraldic art, a “dolphin” does not look like a naturalistic drawing of the marine mammal. It has scales like a fish and it is often (in

(While this both has little chance of making it out of the greys, and also comes late and thus would be read by few people, I feel compelled to post out of a sense of completion.)

OMG I can order both flavors by Walkers Crisps through Amazon...

You bet they do. Ships in the U.S., anyway. You have to order by the case... but IIRC, you can mix and match flavors? So say you want a case of “family size” bags of chips — you have to order 9 bags, but you can order 3 of this flavor and 6 of that flavor, and so on.

Hmmmm. I wonder if Snyders was the brand I was trying to remember upthread, which used to make a Steak flavored chip that was the best thing I ever tasted, but could never find again.

(Off to see if one can order these through the Herrs website...)

WHY LIMITED EDITION WHYYYYYYYYYYY

Oh god. I want both Prawn Flavored and Roast Chicken chips to be sold in the U.S. SO BAD.

Huh. You are reminding me that at some point, somewhere, I have tried “chicken and thyme” flavored chips, that were super good. But now I don’t remember where I got them. Could’ve been the U.K. (I must have forgotten them in order to protect my mind from the disappointment of not being able to get them in the U.S.)
