It’s gut-wrenching that she ever was put in a cage in the first place.

definitely i believe that a baseball man who was a catholic prep school kid considers this a “word he’d never use”
Beyond Lincoln’s head, he’s saying this to women and men who get on a helicopter or boat in the worst weather and dive into ice-cold bodies of water to save people they’ve never met. A little perspective would be nice.
Look, I understand where you think you’re going and I can’t stand Fallon but, Carson’s sexist racist sketches and Letterman’s barely concealed contempt for humanity, only worked because they were more entertaining to an audience pulled in by their charisma (Carson) or cynicism (Letterman) than their abilities as…
I’m pretty sure Carson and Letterman were 60 minute shows, which, efffectively really made them 45 minute shows. And I’m not entirely sure to what extent Letterman throwing watermelons off the roof of his building was cohesive with interviewing guests in a way that Fallon’s comedy bits aren’t.
I’m even fine with that... I think. I mean, that Tim Allen show got cancelled, and there is so many mole people shows one person can watch.
This all seems like a pretty fair response? We don’t have any evidence that he would even be good at doing some sort of political humor/commentary. Its hard for me to fault someone when all they’re saying is “look I just want to do my style of comedy” on their own show.
Do you remember Jay Leno?
Thanksgiving was my favorite episode for sure.
I can almost understand this statement, but also I was assaulted by a guy who’s used this line and then said shit like “we were just kids I didn’t do anything wrong” and “neither of us knew what we were doing.” so gross and so close to convincing me until the next predatory action happens and then I have to blame…
To further clarify, when I say conversation I do not mean it to mean a one-on-one talk with someone who I personally doubt, I mean it as a topic that needs to be considered and reflected on rather than roundly rejected from the get go.
I do. But I still take umbridge with individuals adopting marginalized identities just because they don’t like the trappings of their assigned and lived gender. There is a marked difference between someone who has gender identity disorder and people who consider themselves to be gender fluid. I am saying that within…
Hey quick question, why “folx”? I assume its a replacement for “folks” but I can’t figure out what’s gendered about the “ks” ending vs the “x”.
I’m here for that description. I’ve seen a huge rise in individuals who present as a single gender with some androgynous clothing choices and demand a “they” pronoun, identifying as queer while having mostly hetero relationships. It’s a little much, particularly with white members of the “radical” community imo. There…
I was really on the fence about Alexis being cast, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I’m still not sure someone else might have done better (I was not a huge fan of the her acting in the car scene, but maybe that was also the directing), but she’s been decent.
That line totally read as an admission of Ben’s guilt to me. Like, ooops, I may have r*ped you but how am I to know??? write in and tellme if i r*ped you!
