Every blue character looks better in the original trilogy: Mystique, Nightcrawler, Beast. Something about the blue makeup in the First Class series just looks cheaper/faker.

It can’t be understated just how good the Reservation Dogs episode “Mabel” is. Devery Jacobs deserves the Emmy for writing that.

She does have a strong cast and crew for the show. Though it’s from the original run, I still laugh every time I think about the Australian girl saying “Aww, your snake is sick. I fixed your snake!”

Is drift really that bad and I just got lucky? I’ve had exactly one joy con drift on me over the last 6 years, and Nintendo sent me a replacement for free within days.

I really enjoyed the original run, but the reboot season felt like it had more misses than hits. (For example, “Fart Park” had potential, but seemed lazy. I couldn’t help but imagine how Mr Show or Kids in the Hall would’ve handled that sketch.)

Yeah, some updated graphical power* and online play that isn’t laggy as hell is all they really need.

I haven’t tried XV. I was turned off by the idea that there’s story outside of the game I would need to watch to understand the game’s plot. Also, the product placement.

I wasn’t particularly a fan of XII’s moogles. I felt the design was too far off from the established teddy bear bat I’ve known since VI. I didn’t even realize they were supposed to be moogles for the first few hours--they look like they got Dr. Moreau-ed with a rabbit.

I thought Zero Punctuation already settled the matter of what makes an RPG (specifically a JRPG): it’s about a group of teenagers using the power of friendship to kill God.

It’s all in the execution. The Celes thing just doesn’t work for me, but like I said, that’s a controversial opinion.
