If I remember correctly, Martha Plimpton also introduced Patton Oswald to his current wife as well. She really has a knack for matchmaking.

Don’t you think that this sentiment is belittling to others who follow pop culture and hip hop/rap culture? There tends to be a crowd here that seems to be proud to not know certain things because they’re “old” but honestly it just seems ignorant. If you were interested in understanding parts of the article you

I read this not as satire of feminism but as satire of the Rosenberg Washington Post piece—that excusing an abhorrent position (child eating or anti-LGBTQ “morality clauses” in an employment contract) by saying “hey, but it’s great that a woman is doing something modern and non-traditional!” is ridiculous.

It must be good because the DailyFail has deemed it one of the worst.

Starred mainly because I ship Rey/Finn/Poe.

The whole of Team Flash attempting to follow Oliver into the STAR Labs Deep Thought Hallway only for him to turn around and ask what they were doing was my favorite gag of the episode.  Extremely close second for that Smallville music hook, sweet mercy.

The funniest thing to me was Barry freaking out repeatedly about Iris and Oliver being in bed together & the possibility that something could happen between them (Iris once claimed that Oliver was on her “free list”)

D’Arcy Carden as Jason as Eleanor was SPOT ON

It’s probably because he’s so cartoony and easy to imitate but man, D’Arcy Carden’s Jason impression was spot on.

Waiting for the day when I never see an image of this rainbow snow cone tattooed rapist clown face again, the filthy piece of shit. All the punches forever.

Of course, since I’m a dick, I told everyone, and we spent the rest of the project talking about the time the we were walking home in a ham

I dunno, I think having the words she stole permanently tattooed on her is...

I could do it for you.

then she should fucking write her own damn screenplays and stop whining about black movies. sounds like she wants to ride the coattails of african-american accomplishments for free. this isn’t a zero sum game where one accomplishment erases another. she’s just frustrating.

When she reference Teju Cole, I went, “YUP that is the writing she’s trying to emulate here.” I think she hit it well, but I also hate that style of writing. It feels like trying to dress up depression in pretty clothes (the literal version of this being something she hates), to hide real points amid quotes and

I’m going to try to follow Katy Perry’s remarkable grace right now, though my thoughts about Trump’s evil and ignorant tweet are much darker.

I honestly think that it’s because, at the end of day, white culture and it’s aesthetics are really, really, REALLY boring. It’s hard to claim uniqueness when you’re part of the dominant culture and never have to want to physical representation.

I find it really charming that she is able to laugh at her mistake and doesn’t take herself to seriously. I continue to grow more fond of her, and wish her the best.

For me it's like Parenthood 2.0 but not as good (and Parenthood had plenty of flaws). But it's decent guilty pleasure TV with some good acting, and I otherwise watch "prestige" stuff so it's nice to give my brain a break.
