That was actually the first thing I thought of when I first saw a trailer for this movie a couple of weeks ago. Right before it cuts to a montage with Laurence Fishburn and some other people, Pratt tells JLaw “There’s a reason why (we’re the only ones awake).” As soon as he said that, I thought... you woke her up on

MrStu read the original draft too, but I read a later one that didn’t have that. We are so confused as to what the finished product will be.

To be honest, this is the first and probably only “twist” I would think of/prepare myself for while watching the movie.

Also read the script -

I thought that was the “twist”in the movie , did they change it? As this was putting me right off seeing it.

Yeah I was going to say I thought that was the basic premise and I didn’t understand why the movie wasn’t all about JLaw beating Cpratt to death for screwing up her life like that, but the previous trailer made it seem like they both randomly woke up. This is like Titanic in Space Plus Stockholm Syndrome.

NOW it’s interesting.

That would make it a far more interesting movie than the trailer does. has chris pratt ever played a creepy character? Anything other than a hot, lovable doofus?

counterpoint: i’m going to see the shit out of it

La La Land was a solid movie but Moonlight was simply breathtaking. If La La Land wins Best Picture this year, I will be FLABBERGASTED.

I definitely agree with other posters, this was the best movie I’ve seen all year. The images, the soundtrack, the acting, mwah!

i just saw it yesterday! my husband and i walked out of the theater saying it was very likely the best film of the year. the acting, direction, the score, the story/themes, the cinematography. i was absolutely entranced. (and i cried. especially during the scene between grown chiron and his mother.)

I cried all the way through this movie. Just steady slow tears. At times I wasn’t even sure why.

Best film I’ve seen so far this year. Hard to see it being surpassed, I guess La La Land has the best shot at doing so (I do think La La Land will get Best Picture over Moonlight).

All I’ve been doing recently is singing this sentiment from the rooftops. Everyone, if you haven’t already done so, please please please please see this film. See it a squillion times. I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw a film that was both so important and so timely, not to mention incredibly touching

I will forever love dark burgundy lips, the color that looks good on everyone and I mean everyone, may this trend never die but come back stronger than ever, thank you and amen.

Did you go to Constance? Was the guy named Dan?

As long as your fetish doesn’t hurt other people, I don’t care. Get on the internet, go find your fetish tribe, and you do you.

it’s just a picture of legs that cuts to an image of a man standing in a burning house and he has a goat head and his eyes are the black of the void and then it cuts back to an image of legs with paint on them and then it’s the goat headed man and he’s closer to the foreground and I can smell sulfur and then it cuts
