Hey! Spoilers!
Hey! Spoilers!
I ran the benchmark in both 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 resolutions. Note that I had a ton of other stuff running at the same time, which probably skewed the results a little lower, but my results are within a few points of others I’ve seen, so I trust them.
Just because something is the “easiest” mode does not mean that it is “easy.”
Every job should pay a living wage, with additional protections in place for contractors and temporary workers to ensure that employers do not have an incentive to misclassify employees as contractors to save money.
Again, as something to be done to add supplemental income, who’s to say they’re not already being paid a fair wage? Drivers should be well aware of what they’re signing up for, to include wages and no benefits.
My sympathies, Patrick. This is obviously a tricky topic for a reporter to cover fully and accurately, and I’m sorry that deranged individuals have decided to attack you (and your family) because they disagree with your coverage decisions.
Let’s not forget the 2009's Dragonball: Evolution.
You neglected to answer key Ratchet and Clank’s key question - is the plumber back?
Fair point about the other materials generally behind / in front of opaque load-bearing surfaces. I’m sure that architects could find some creative uses (like Angles’ idea for light channels below), but it would likely still be a niche material.
Can KTH produce a truly transparent version, or is it more translucent (as in the article image)? Translucent, load-bearing wood would indeed be a fantastic architectural tool, but I don’t see it replacing glass unless it’s truly transparent. Especially in applications such as solar panels.
Let’s face it, if they’re putting in the Upper East Side, it’s to stage gunfights in the Met and the Guggenheim.
I totally agree. Asking for content that appeals to different audiences is such a giant slap in the face to all us straight white males. That one sentence in a twenty sentence article rendered the entire piece worthless to me, and Gizmodo should clearly be ashamed of itself.
XCOM with Borderlands/Diablo’s loot mechanics, you say?
You left out the best part:
That seems to be the case for most players. Some inexplicable frame rate drops, but no crashes or game-breaking bugs.
Completed objectives are listed in green on the XCOM 2 objectives list. Kirk’s completed all the objectives on the list save for “Build the Shadow Chamber” (whatever that even means).
You’re correct, you can’t learn anything from the fact that you missed a shot where you had a 90% chance to hit. The “skill” involved in XCOM is “risk management” - making your plans such that you’re never relying on any particular chance to hit. (ie, having a 60% chance to hit available if you miss the 90% chance to…
Same aliens. XCOM got walloped in its first few months, all Earth governments caved, and the aliens have been ruling the planet for 20 years, creating new forms of humans and aliens through genetic engineering.
Heydt’s famous eight deadly words: “I don’t care what happens to these people.” For a movie to be compelling, the audience must generally be invested (in some way) in the outcome.
The difficulty of optimization depends (in part) upon which platform you targeted during initial development. Because XCOM 2 specifically targeted PC, it will likely be more difficult to port/optimize for consoles than if it had originally targeted consoles.
