Of course. Everyone should thoroughly research every $3 purchase that they make in their life, regardless of the time required to acquire and maintain the necessary expertise across the entire array of domains in which your average citizen now purchases goods and services. To suggest otherwise is just crazy.

I bought my current rig approximately a year ago, and it came with Windows 8. The first time I received a 7zip file, it asked me if I wanted to find the correct program to open it on the Windows Store. I went there, the first hit appeared to be a link to the 7zip website, which turned out to be a link to some scam

But QTEs in cutscenes that basically just pause the video and expect you to hit play before a timer runs out, otherwise the video rewinds to the beginning, is not gameplay.

Sex strike, perhaps? If it can end the Peloponnesian War, surely it can end a game of League of Legends.

Don't worry mate. We all get tripped up by Poe's Law every now and again.

There is a certain species of internet denizen so obsessed with "feminists" and "white knights" and "social justice warriors" that they will start spontaneously ranting on little or no provocation. As with temper tantrums generally, it's often best to simply ignore such outbursts.

Your GPU isn't being used above 50%, or your CPU isn't being used above 50%?

This is purely my own opinion, but I think this may be the most prominent philosophical debate in modern feminism - how to conceptualize pornography, prostitution, and (expectations about) women's sexual expression generally.

I believe it's possible that you're overestimating your typical American male's adherence to best practices when it comes to informed consent.

You're complaining about encountering judgmental parents... in Park Slope, Brooklyn?

Yes, but only jimmyjams that wouldn't look out of place in a generic sci-fi movie.

Fair enough! I'm not big into overkill myself, but I appreciate the cash and work you and yours put into cutting edge tech. It helps make the tech cheaper and more reliable for us mainstream types.

We're in a bit of an odd space in graphics right now. The top of the line cards (970/980/290X) are close to overkill for most modern games when running at a typical 1080P or 1400P setup. On the other hand, the same cards just don't deliver decent performance when maxing out those same games at 4K. We'll probably need

Really, Commander?

How on earth is Bioware "forcing transexuals in your face" here? This is a minor character - definitely not within the top 12 characters by lines, and probably much lower - and the stuff about trans sexuality is at most 5-10 minutes of optional gameplay with a game that has 100+ hours of gameplay. We're not exactly

Gorgeous art, though you should probably throw a NSFW tag on there. (Given the naked woman in a bathtub of blood.)

The tactical camera on PC is currently pretty horrible, in my opinion. You really should be able to both scroll the screen and select targets using the mouse, rather than having the target locked to the center of the screen and having to scroll using the keyboard. Areas with overlapping elevation levels (bridges etc)

This definitely smells like a DRM issue to me. Though, to be fair, most people don't switch out their GPU nine times in the span of a week.

While Bioware's games have historically lagged behind on graphics, decided to switch from their aging Eclipse engine to the Frostbite 3 engine for Dragon Age: Inquisition. That's the same engine that runs Battlefield 4. I suspect it's premature to be making pronouncements on how good the graphics will be.

Sorry - that was meant to be a joke.
