I’ve always had a pretty limited diet but yeah I go on and off certain foods. I remember I used to be able to eat macaroni and cheese and now it disgusts me.

That only works when the parents can control what the kid is eating. What happens when kids go to school? When they get older?
I think studies have shown that forcing kids with ARFID to eat foods that they can’t tolerate only makes the condition worse.
I mean deafblind people can find ways to socialize these days.
Yeah, I would try foods and drop them all the time as a kid and as a teen. It must have driven my mother crazy. Weirdly, I’ve been able to try new foods at fancy restaurants. I don’t know why.
I like some fruit. I like grapes and strawberries. It’s a lot more complicated than you think.
My dad was born in 1965 and I was born in 1994. So he wasn’t even 30 when I was conceived. I think my grandfather might be on the spectrum so it’s probably just genetics.
I have this condition. It’s a common symptom of autism, as in my case. I hope this boy can find a way to cope with his condition and I hope he gets tested for autism.
I don’t know I think it’s important to emphasize that this encounter wasn’t consensual (I mean it can never really be consensual with a 13 year old but this was just brutal rape). I remember reading an article by Polanski’s victim who was talking about the culture of the 70s and how it wasn’t uncommon to see grown men…
No but you can argue they have a very religious mindset. Some OG TERFs like Janice Raymond and Mary Daly were originally nuns.
So do you stop being female once you hit menopause? Are you not female if you are infertile? Your ability to create eggs does not make you superior to other women.
Honestly, I think TERFs (at least female TERFs) have a lot of internalized misogyny. They hate the fact that they are women because of the influence of the patriarchy and they can’t believe anyone would willingly choose to be a woman. Even though they might consider themselves feminist they’ve still absorbed the…
Or like when people act as if all of our problems would be solved if only the people in power were women. It’s like they’ve never heard of Margaret Thatcher.
Reading about her reminded me of something I once read about Catherine Parr, the sixth wife of Henry the VIII. After King Henry died she married a guy named Thomas Seymour and her orphaned stepdaughter (the future Queen Elizabeth I) moved in with them. Thomas Seymour pretty famously sexually abused Elizabeth, who was…
Eyelid surgery?
I don’t know if that’s the case in Hollywood. I think most male actors have had plastic surgery. We just associate it with women and so when someone like Paul Rudd still looks 30 at 50, we assume he’s magically aged well instead of the obvious fact that he just had really good work done. There’s still 100X more…
Reminds me of that scene at the end of American Psycho where he tries to confess his crimes to someone and the guy just brushes it off as a joke.
Fuck her and this is coming from someone who actually was overmedicated. I’m on the autism spectrum but wasn’t properly diagnosed until I was 17 and spent the better part of my adolescence on a revolving door of medications that I (for the most part) didn’t need. But this woman is clearly full of shit if she’s…
No, apparently he was a scholarship kid. He just went to school with all the rich preppy boys he portrayed throughout the 80s. At least that’s the impression I’ve got from interviews (which I’ve been watching lately because he’s got a very soothing voice.)
Yeah. There’s pictures of them. https://images.app.goo.gl/PcffkBiYUoLfUNTv5
