This is a very simple message people forget and occasionally need to be reminded.

I completely agree, however it's difficult to be proud of who you are when you're constantly being told that who you are is "broken" or "perverted" or otherwise "not normal". This is a huge step towards telling young people that being gay doesn't mean any of those things.

This is awesome news. I'm gay myself, I can see how Tim Cook has potential to be such a great role model for the LGBT community. Hopefully this will continue to pave the way to a future where we all have more respect for human dignity on the basis of human rights and equality. Go Timmy!

BREAKING NEWS: THIS JUST IN = Be proud of whoever you are.

"So if hearing that the CEO of Apple is gay can help someone struggling to come to terms with who he or she is, or bring comfort to anyone who feels alone, or inspire people to insist on their equality, then it's worth the trade-off with my own privacy."

It's a great metaphor for what kickstarter actually is.

I love this. Both because obviously dying is pretty shitty but also because these types of situation always brings out latent racist believes of many people and stories like these combat those stereotypes. Double yay.

Why no mention of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh? That woman was a goddamn hero and should have a statue built in her honor.

Being an icon designer, I appreciate articles like this! People take icons for granted.

For the record, it's more like, "Oh crap! the world needs an authoritative take on an important development in the world of icon design, and I need to write it!"

This is not just a relabeled Recently Added folder from my experience with 8.1 beta

Neither of these are actually what I want out of the "camera roll". I want the camera roll to only be for images and videos that were created by my camera. No screenshots, no saved images...just stuff that resulted from me pressing that shutter button.

I'm not so sure about "grew out of that romanticization of serial killers". According to Wikipedia (linked above) :
