Ohhhh, my pondering was short-sighted. Apple hasn't made the release date later and later each year. (The iPhone 5s was released on the 20th of September of last year, whereas the 4s had been released in October of 2011.)

Might the 19th be at least a couple days too early for anyone who got an iPhone 5 and a 2-year contract in 2012? The iPhone 5 was released on the 21st of September that year.

People have noticed a duller screen on the new Mini. Is it because of the color gamut?

I wish the first iPad had looked like the iPhone 3G, with its "sexy curves." Anonymity is kinda boring when it's stretched across relatively subtle redesigns.

Stools, counter, no apparent protocol, appointment only, people standing around, awkward. Bar?

The huge Olympic flame is supposed to stay lit throughout the games, but the torch relay started in the buildup to the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

"Form factor" seems to have been deleted from the review.

The back of the first generation is also domed, and there's a "sharp" edge around the perimeter of the dome.

It's stock in iOS 7 (and it shows up when I google "download iOS 7 wallpaper").

Is the 1gb of ram the reason why website images load choppily in Safari? That is, a web site will seem to be done loading, then suddenly the top image on the site will load and shift the rest of the page down.

I use my iPad more than my main desktop. The iPad works as a satellite, but I still need a full OS for work.

We'd use this feature while traveling, but the video playback and quality would be problematic due to network speed, per Walt Mossberg's review.

For some, the Mini is $70 too expensive. For others, the Mini is $100 less expensive than the iPad Air.

It's prime vacation real estate. We have to pay for the extra space and the innovativemagicaldevice experience of its contents.

Could the new iPad mini have the guts of the 3rd-gen iPad? I keep seeing that it will have the guts of the 4th-gen.

What are the criteria for an issue to make it into the Repair and Exchange Extension Programs? Is there a place where Apple acknowledges smaller problems that may or may not exist on the end product, such as the one that affects some of the earlier 3rd-gen Apple TVs?

"After linking your debit card or bank account, funds are directly deposited into your bank account within 1-2 business days."

There has got to be something more exciting about the design of the iPads than what's been shown in the rumor mill. Right now, they seem like last year's form factor with even older color schemes. Vertigo-inducing colors like the 5c's (and its case) would be a start.

A mainstreaming of these questionable color combinations could be interesting.
