The inconvenience of having to sell multiple internal hard drives over years doesn't seem like a "good limitation."

I had a catastrophic hard drive failure with physical damage and used Hard Drive 911 for last-resort professional recovery. They got like 90% of my stuff back for $1300. Can't say if that's good or bad, but they were convenient, friendly, and communication was easy.
