This incident wasn’t caused by a lack of infrastructure. It’s clear from the video that if the cyclists hadn’t been on the road the driver would have slammed into the vehicle that taped the incident. It was a drunk that was looking at his phone or something other than the road.

They don’t drive Subarus though.

I think I would just polish the hood, especially if you plan to sell it when your replacement is ready. Fake carbon wraps are pretty lame and the other options sound like they would make the hood worth less or harder to sell. Seems like it’s not worth putting a lot of time or effort into something that’s going to be

I didn’t think so, but I found stuff online that says the the 2000 Camaro has a resetting breaker for the windows. If that’s true the Firebird would, too. It also said the Body Control Module solder joints are a common fault, there could be a short or an open there.

Whatever is going on with the windows, unless it’s blowing fuses it’s not a short.

I feel like they should have called it the Giant Panda.

The F-Type is a good one to go out on. It’s always been so pretty. And in a museum it doesn’t have to work well. Everyone wins.

Yeah studs make sense to keep them from spinning around and throwing the balance off too. The might not need to flex, it’s possible that they shift outward as the wheels spin up and air channels do the work. Those resonators sound like one of those ideas that’s so good I’m kind of surprised it took so long for someone

I’m way too lazy to watch the video but the 8 miles probably isn’t the issue for the owner. The issue is probably that the dealership tried to lie and say they didn’t drive it around a bit to test the repair (like they absolutely should have) to try to get out of taking responsibility for curbing the wheel.

From the diagram I think the design works with the specific wheel, not so much the tire.

I suspect that is where the centrifugal force comes in. Maybe the resonators flex as the force increases. From the diagram it looks like they are clipped into channels in the wheel, I don’t think c-force really keeps the inserts in place.

From the diagram it looks to me as though there is a channel in the wheel and the resonators are clipped in. I don’t think c-force helps hold them in. I guess it’s possible that c-force helps them dynamically tune to the canceling frequency though? Maybe they flex?

I saw one on the road recently and it looks much better in person. It still looks like it’s trying way too hard to look mean and it’s kind of obnoxious, but it doesn’t look terrible. I had no idea that MSRP is $159k though. It’s a giant pile of overwrought plastic. Like a Honda Pilot Type R or something. It looks like

I’ve always heard the C4 was kind of a heap of shit but I was 11 when it came out so it’s my favorite one. Back then all it took to impress me was a 3rd brake light but still.

It’s a salvage title. It looks good but I wouldn’t call that a comp.

I would not pay $16.5k for this. But I wouldn’t sell this for less. So I guess NP?

Where can you get a 944 for $16.5k?

I would love it for a dollar. But neither of us is reasonable.

The 2024 Land Cruiser’s MSRP is $30k less than the 2021 Land Cruiser, the last year it was sold in the US. What are you talking about?

I think that’s true. But maybe it’s easier to rationalize the purchase. I don’t know, it’s really hard for me to get into the mindset of someone considering a Land Cruiser. But I’m always doubtful of the argument that people that have acquired money don’t care about money.
