the state isn’t even interested in this. it’s over 25 years old and is exempt.

i believe vehicles in TX that are older than 25 years are exempt from that law. but i’m familiar with that dealership and i wouldn’t buy a snickers bar from them.

any car that you care about. resist the urge to try to recapture your youth by buying your kid an impractical car that you love or would have loved. one, they probably aren’t going to like it very much. two, they will probably be rough with it and it will just break your heart.

when i was in school my teachers made me do math by hand because i wouldn’t have a calculator with me all the time when i was grown up.

a Volvo. yeah yeah safety safe safe safe safety safe for the kid. but the first thing they will do is hit a curb and you have to pay a lot more to fix it than if they were driving a 10 year old Honda.

i don’t mind it. those red leather seats however. garish and gross.

same 0-60 as a 2023 Prius.

that’s exactly what i want, a lifted hot hatch.

i never use regular cruise control. it’s ok, you don’t have to like it. i love it. it doesn’t matter if sometimes it doesn’t actually matter. i set it to 10mph over the speed limit and then i relax and really only have to worry about passing people when i feel the car slow down to pace whoever i’ve crept up on. not

that’s the rub. long drives. for my job i drive on highways for multiple hours and then have to work, a few times a week. i don’t think i could do it without adaptive cruise.

i too am quibbling and i’m glad i saw this before i posted exactly what you posted. unless they increased headcount by 840 people in between layoffs, the math just isn’t there.

it sure does. is it quick? everything i’ve read says they don’t feel like they have 250hp. i’m super into that Hornet but i doubt it will be reliable.

i don’t have that problem. i set the gap to 1 or 2 car lengths depending on the amount of traffic. i drive mostly on highways, and i do a lot of it. i use it all the time. all the time. i wouldn’t use it on surface streets though.

on top of all of the registration stuff, it has hail damage. this thing wouldn’t sell for even close to this price in the UK. and almost nobody could possibly give a shit about it in the US. i’d rather buy $21,900 worth of clown noses.

Kona N. I want a tiny CUV that isn’t slow af. But also I won’t buy a car without adaptive cruise ever again. I can’t believe Hyundai put out a vehicle in 2022 without even the option of adaptive cruise. But then also I heard their engines are shit traps, so maybe 2 fatal flaws. But definitely not offering adaptive

I’m also one of the people who didn’t buy one because of the controls. I was so excited to finally be able to get adaptive cruise AND plaid seats. But those capacitive buttons feel bad and work badly. But also I read about all of the electronics problems the MK8 had in Europe the year before it came to the US. So, two

a lot of brick and mortar companies at least used to have a 30 day price match policy, because they had a 30 day return policy. instead of having people return merchandise and then immediately buy it again at the lower price, companies would just give you the difference.

i like the shifter i guess, and i’m glad they exist, but these things are fucking ugly. this emperor wears no clothes.

i dunno about any of you but i have been losing money for about a year in the market so i would pay down even a 2% interest debt. except now is a good time to buy stock. fuck i dunno what i’m doing. but i do know that sitting in a new car makes me feel better about the world turning to shit.

i vote yes. but i would crush and bale anything with broken AC too.
