o yeah.

yeah i can see that. from this article and the comments, it doesn’t sound like the different engine is much of an upgrade at all. it seems more likely that they dropped in whatever they could find locally.

the rear tires rub when accelerating? doesn’t sound like this safari car could even handle a speed bump. garbage.

because they didn’t want the car anymore but couldn’t sell it with a blown engine. that’s why someone would sell a car they just sank money into for an engine swap.

then why are we voting at all?

i wonder if someone has done the math comparing how much juice it takes to get to 60 in 4 seconds and stay there vs getting to 85 in 8 seconds and staying there.

how would you feel about the tires if it had lake pipes?

i think you just did calculus.

i dunno i saw one in the wild for the first time yesterday. it was that pale green that it always is in their marketing. man, it looked cool. these rally paintjobs look like ass. i’d rather have a Hornet and a Grasshopper.

yah i think people complain about weight for the same reasons they complain about taxes. no matter how good things might be, they can’t stop thinking about how much better they would be if they didn’t have to pay.

the FX45 styling was at least 10 years ahead of its time. by the time i could afford one, i no longer noticed them. i sure looked at them wistfully back in the day though.

now that’s an interesting thought. i would think that early adopters would either want an interesting launch color that will probably become exclusive OR just take what’s is available. in theory, a flashy color would be advertising for the carmaker, too. on the other hand, trim levels make this riskier. i was excited

i might go with a suicide door Continental if it hadn’t been used in Entourage and the Matrix movies. could i interest you in a ‘70 or ‘72 Lincoln Mark? That’s where I’d go if i could afford a parking space for one. Cruising in one of these with Bill Withers playing on the 8 Track just seems like a good time to me.

i visited that Sherman TX asshole nest once. every vehicle in the warehouse looked much shittier in person and had cheap flipper work done to them. you could smell the future disappointment in there.

i can’t think of a single reason why there wouldn’t be an early payoff penalty. i mean, your (good) advice is exactly what the penalty was invented for.

it’s really not that close to going blue. most of the people moving to TX either vote Republican OR move into relatively liberal areas that have been gerrymandered out of relevance by the GOP supermajority state legislature.

would the dealership’s general liability premiums go up after filing a claim? if so, i can see why the dealership would be upset with Allstate for not paying 100% and forcing a claim. this seems like a pissing contest between the dealership and Allstate, with both of them pissing on the dealership’s customer. Allstate

yah i wouldn’t buy this car without it passing a smog test. if it’s really been in the state for less than a year, registration shouldn’t be that difficult if its mods are legal here. as far as i know you just have to pay a little extra.

reasonable. thanks for not saying it’s worth $3k tops.

gross. if you told me that was a picture of the very first atom bomb i’d believe you.
