I used to be a housecleaner. To clean a kitchen floor to the proverbial standard that you could pick up food you dropped and eat it, takes over an hour for an average home.  I agree with her completely that a kitchen floor should have a drain. And a hose. Way cleaner way faster.

As a Zen practitioner with 40 years experience, including 3 monastic, the reasons people ascribe the moniker to their various aspirations and descriptions completely bewilders me. From Jon Stewart’s “Moment of Zen”, to the perfume business described here, (the Buddha likely was scent free), they all go over my head.

Life for the poor in Seattle means living on the razor’s edge, worried about homelessness. Every month the costs for rent and food climb up.

Sure it’s on the internet, but much more importantly it’s burned into the poor man’s psyche that life is a nightmare beyond imagination. I have four year grudges over the most petty shit on earth. Will this guy ever feel safe and normal again? That’s what this cost, a man’s peace.
