Depends. Maintenance will be slightly more expensive, but I don’t mind. There’s more headroom too which I definitely like more. The 4Runner feels like I’m driving a pillbox. Both are slow cars, so I appreciate the extra gear an the V8 engine.

Aren’t those always pre-warmed?
Once again, American car advertising sucks.
Remember Everyday People? Well New Zealand did it better.
I rarely see the ecoboost vans when they’re for fleet use. I’m assuming fleet operators have figured out the NA gasoline version has the lowest TCO. Sucks for the guys having to drive them around though. If Americans drove more disciplined, a slow van wouldn’t be such a penalty, but everyone drag races.
No. This is the actual price for the turbo in the 90s. $35k was for the non-turbo version. $35k was also very expensive.
That’s cheap. The A80 turbo was $50k in its day. Don’t forget what $50k bought you back then.
It’s always sad to see plant closures, but I would also like to see how many of the affected employees were offered relocation packages to busier plants.
4th: Cam someone explain to me how Toyota doesn’t violate this and Ford’d system does?
What’s the point of having the oil at operating temperature if the cylinder walls and pistons are rusted.
Those are rolling tragedies. I tread they’re pretty bad. I’m curious to see if they get phased out of fleets.
Cheaper fuel means the 110hp diesel isn’t necessary.
Nope. The Corolla is much quicker for every day stuff. The M20A is a much better engine than the 2ZZ. And it’s likely not to blow up.
How in the world are you only averaging 14? I do 17~18 in a GX460. Or are you driving at 90 wherever you go.
Scales are different. One is degrees the other is absolute. They communicate very different concepts.
Zero.
Strangely, that’s the one thing that IMPROVED at BMW over the past 10 years.
But it’s not diesel and it’s not manual. Therefore it’s garbage.
The Chevy express vans are practically dead from what I understand. It’s pretty much Sprinter or Transit.
I don’t think it’s as much a cult as it is economics.
