Not to mention even if they are lower cost, how are they even going to make them fast enough? These fleets are committed for long periods of time. You miss out on an RFP and it might be years before you can bid again. Win the contract, but you can’t deliver fast enough and now you’re stuck with huuuuuge penalties.

I wonder how they are going to get along with fleet managers at major trucking companies. Silicon Valley pomp doesn’t really pass muster with the freight hauling industry where they’re dealing with fractions of fractions of pennies.
