Can you imagine BMW trying to do a dual injector setup? It took Toyota 14 years to implement it across the board.

So rather than provide a rational counter argument, you just insult me. That makes you so mightily correct. I’m convinced.

Aren’t the M engines essentially a reverse engineered Jaguar XK engine? I remember reading that while Nissan licensed BMC’s designs, Toyota just reversed engineered Jaguars when designing the 2000gt. Love that history.

So. Did it ever race successfully? I mentioned that Nissan offered an overall better package for motorsports.

Feel but not actually be.

Anything over 3000cc is heavily taxed in Japan. Hence the need for turbocharging in Japan. The tax bracket piece is to explain why Toyota/Nissan/Mitusbishi made such overbuilt engines in the 80s ad 90s.

GE. GTE was not.

1000hp is lovely and all, but even in Japan, the GTE saw limited usage. I think the Aristo was the only other car that got the engine. The 1JZ-GTE was much more popular.

Can we stop the 2JZ lovefest? It was a tax bracket engine and Toyota’s limited usage even in Japan shows it wasn’t that great.

I really want to like the diesel Transit Connect, but I keep reading horror stories about reliability.

Ridgeline is roughly Taco sized though.

Of course the usual.

So extremely arrogant.

Caveat?

Username checks out.

Sporty is the most overused assumption for fun to drive. A car doesn’t have to be “sporty” to handle well. Unfortunately, North America doesn’t get the type other small cars that large swaths of the world get to thrash.

Nothing like a Speed3 with an aftermarket turboback exhaust. Come to think of it, I don’t see any on the road today because those engines grenaded.

I have a theory that all the VW people moved to Mazda when VW became too reliable and ordinary. You know. You can drive a VW for about six years now before they go kaboom.

How arrogantly will I act about that fact that I bought this over a Civic or Corolla?
