I wouldn’t say it’s likely to be the case that we won’t get it. Luxury EVs are a different animal. This wagon could easily do better than the sedan in the U.S. Fight Tesla by offering what they don’t.

I saw an Overfinch Range Rover Sport. Cocaine white circa 2012 model on what appeared to be winter wheels borrowed from a standard Land Rover. I didn’t get any photos. The woman who got out of the passenger side didn’t look like she’d be happy if I had my phone cam trained on her and then I had to move along down…
I see this as more of a local/state highways (government) issue. They should be reviewing this type of routing issue as part of their emergency management and coordinating with Google and the like to make sure people get an accurate representation of their options. If the lead time is a matter of minutes for Google to…
Probably more like cost/price-point and cannibalization issues. They’ll happily get buyers into RAV4 Hybrids for $1,500 more than a Corolla Cross Hybrid would sell for.
Wait, that last paragraph... Are you saying the city of Seattle is spending $7 million per year (!!!) out of an estimated $34 million per year needed for proper bridge inspection? $7 million is an absurdly low number for a city like Seattle. I guess they figure that if they catch issues like the West Seattle Bridge…
*Lightning. “Lightening” is what Michael Jackson did to his skin.
I take issue with a road with no shoulder and a 55 mph speed limit being designated a cycling route. There was one in my hometown that was pretty desirable to cyclists because it was board-flat across a floodplain, but it also connected several industrial facilities and had no paved shoulder. I think it’s…
The video doesn’t really give adequate context to show how small the increments are. It looks to not be appreciably different from my ‘02 Montero Sport. I like to get the windows at just the right level under the vent visors when overnighting in it. Maybe the Taycan’s switches are easier to feather?
I was told as a teen, upon facing license revocation following my first speeding ticket, that I’m responsible for things I do on the road even if they’re not intentional. I never imagined that this would become less true as the infraction and/or impacts grew more severe.
Cruise control that won’t function at all if the sensors stop working. A “safety feature.” Yup, that’s pretty safe for people to not have cruise control when they expect to have it and need to use it. I sure wish we could be given a break with this overcomplicated crap.
Resident: “It is LITERALLY a race track.” Well, then I don’t see what the problem is.
“Suzki” yeah? Is Jalopnik intentionally including typos (in the HEADLINES, no less) to increase engagement? The editor’s title should be changed to “Content Manager” and a real editor should be hired.
I’ve been working from home full time through the pandemic and I typically only have 2 to 4 email exchanges per day. Those emails are to deliver finished design products or do Q&A about design requirements. I design transportation infrastructure. It’s amazing... computers can, like, do more than just access email!
I don’t give a rat’s posterior about CarPlay. Can I get it without for about $13,750? Seems like that’d be a decent price.
I left a stapler in the rear armrest storage compartment of my 2002 Passat when I traded it in. I know I had the rest of the car completely cleaned out. I had the stapler in there from when I was a painting contractor. A friend once used it to staple together the flaps of an opened 12 pack to make it easier to carry…
Public right-of-way means any member of the public has a right to be there. Sure, they can water it since it’s grass, but there’s no cause for them to create a motion-activated sprinkler that targets people (although it was apparently just a big joke). Any member of the public would be within their right to file a…
I don’t understand what you mean. Public right-of-way, but the homeowner has to maintain everything behind the curb. If the sidewalk infill were reconstructed, the homeowner has to maintain the planter strip. If he chooses to irrigate it, that’s up to him, but it’s not lawful to have sprinklers spraying the street…
That looks to be public right-of-way that just doesn’t have sidewalk constructed on it. I hope this chode gets hit with a large fine AND is then forced to pay to have the sidewalk infill constructed in front of his property. He probably has the stones to call other people “entitled” while he’s at it, too.
Hard to believe Jalopnik didn’t get two articles out of this one image. I initially took notice of and immediately scrolled past this article to find the article about the unveiling of the 2-row. I’ve been keenly interested in the 2022 2-row because I might be in the market for one. I’ll take mine in a matching body…
For every person who “forgot” how to drive, there are approximately 178,400 people who never knew how to drive.
