The arc including the strip about the dinner for Charlie Brown is one of the cruelest in the history of Peanuts, which is saying something.

Can we assume that those of use who have VLR on Vita will be able to buy 999 a la carte?

I got good value out of my Vita—too few exclusives, yeah, but since I never owned a PS3 and don’t want to dig out my PS1 or PSP, I’ve never felt like it was lacking in titles. I hope it’s got another couple of years of third-party support left, but I wouldn’t regret my purchase even if we never got another release in

It’s still beyond me how SE could botch this series so badly. It should be an anime Mass Effect, and yet just about every entry in the series strands the dull protagonists on a backwater planet for almost the whole game. How about giving the player a ship, and multiple planets to explore at length, and a futuristic

Yeah, October is not the time to start thinking about holiday spending. It’s the time to start panicking about what to get everyone and where we’re going to go—it should already be 3/4 paid for.

Why does anyone care that it’s a stock photo? If people hadn’t gone rooting around for it, nobody would have known where it came from.

What is so difficult about making brownies from scratch? Maybe ten ingredients instead of three. Mix, pour, bake.

If you’re using credit responsibly, you should barely notice the impact of a contested charge before it’s been resolved—you won’t be near the limit anyway.

Konami wants to succeed at this, but they got rid of the people who know what they’re doing, and other competent people with reputations in the industry don’t want to go anywhere near them.

I think it mattered in my situation. I rehabilitated my credit (pushed it above 700) well before I paid off my substantial credit card debt, and it meant that I had access to low-interest consolidation offers. It made paying off the balance immeasurably easier.

I honestly did not hear about this until just now. Such was O’Malley’s impact.

Am I the only one who sees this as just a shell game? There’s no advantage if you already have a clear idea of how much money you realistically have available to spend. (The author talks about how he used to frequently overdraw his account before creating a second one—I can think of better people to be giving

Well aren’t you a patriotic American.

And you’d have to live a very long time for the annuity to be greater than the lump sum.

If Konami wanted to get out of AAA development—not unreasonable from a business standpoint—surely they could have found a means of getting out that didn’t alienate their previous customer base so thoroughly. I can only assume that sowing the ground with salt was intentional.

Atlus has earned my trust while Square Enix needs to win it back. FFXV may or may not be a return to form; I’m willing to wait a little while to see.

I wouldn’t say everyone prefers 3—there’s a very vocal contingent of us who preferred NV. I enjoyed 3 a lot but have never even been able to play it again after NV.

If it’s a non-numbered series entry, I could see that happening. F5 would probably have to be either New York or Chicago.

That’s a really interesting observation. It’s a shame that fast travel is one of the very few conveniences Bethesda allows in its user interface; it’s startling how primitive the systems are for managing companions and developing settlements. (Wondering whether this resource/this settler is already assigned? Good luck

Kind of disappointed that Confirmed Bachelor/Cherchez La Femme didn’t make it back. Though since you start the game married with a kid, I suppose the title doesn’t really work anymore.
