This has been an issue for the past year or two. Jalopnik has been playing catch up. The autopian posts an Alanis video, then Jalopnik does. Even though Alanis hasn’t done any work for Jalopnik in a long time while she actively supports the Autopian.

The Autopian published an article about actually trying the toilet brush idea this morning. I guess Jalopnik had 30 minutes to top it and here’s the result.

This is a Buzzfeed level of post.

the left hand in the window isn’t used in the race often, it’s mainly used for qualifying. And qualifying up front keeps you out of trouble early in the race. Also, until the race really gets going, it’s hard to say if the temp, track, tire, and aero package how easy it will be to pass. As we saw in the xfinity race

I differ with you. I wouldn’t be surprised if Penske tested this unauthorized mod in the wind tunnel before his cars hit the season’s first downforce course.

Balance that against the breach of the blue wall, the worse offense a cop can commit in the eyes of his peers.

The Chief may not be in the same union as the sergeant. NYPD (which has more cops that this place has people) has a different union for all the different ranks.

Daaaamn.

Police unions don’t work like that, they exist to protect all officers (including the chief) from being held accountable.

Yes! Journalists doin journalism. Yet so many people happy to get their news from other peoples social media.

Probably, but the officer could still leave the department as a Legend.

Three cheers for police body cams, journalists, and the Freedom Of Information Act.

He’s been on paid leave (@ $204k annually) since early Dec. Nice gig.

Didn’t watch the entire thing, but it feels like this has been coming for a LONG time. I don’t think this is the first time Billy has been confronted by a drunk chief and he had enough.

Police unions are usually very cozy with prosecutors, and major donors to their political campaigns. No charges would ever be filed. He could have tried arresting the chief with probable cause of public intoxication (assuming the other cops don’t stop him) but there’s essentially a 0% chance a prosecutor would

Going to make for some really uncomfortable break room interactions when, inevitably, Chief Drunkass gets his gig back (thank you, police unions!).

Bradley Beach: if you’ve ever lived or just spent a bit of time there, this story checks out fully.

“I’m listening to you. Shut up.”

Dude should’ve fully committed when he threw the Chief on the hood and arrested him on the spot for public intoxication and interfering with every aspect of what the police were trying to do there. It’s a little more difficult for the union to brush actual charges under the rug.

You show up drunk and piss people off: Receive a paycheck while waiting at home
