Anyone who tries to conduct any kind of business on the shitshow that Twitter became after the Musk shat on it needs to know what they’re getting into.

I remember like a week after that change went live, somebody impersonated Eli Lilly and made the stock price take a hit for claiming that they would be cutting insulin prices. It’s all fun and games until you realize that *checks notes* institutional investing cannot be bothered to do the cursory check for legitimacy

Even if verified, you shouldn’t trust it. The blue “verified” sticker is only, and solely - an indication that someone paid $8 to Musk. And if a company, someone who supports Musk with $12k/year. It has no significance whatsoever as to whether or not the person/account is who they say they are.

Since Musk decided to sell verifications to anyone on Twitter, nobody on that disgusting platform should be trusted.

And the additional pay is just one benefit of the union. Safety conditions that let you stay on the job longer are worth even more.

You aint got no sense

Your sense is wrong:

Union Dues are two hours pay per month for full time members and 1.15% of straight-time hourly pay for part time and per diem members.”

You mean to tell me other car manufacturers deliberately set up their ops in the cracker South so their workers could be underpaid and get-away-with-it endangered? Sure, I’ll buy that supposition.

The pizza party and anti-union right wing rhetoric did not work?

The best way to maximize your worth at a larger organization is to join a Union.

I really like a lot of Hyundai’s current lineup (specifically the EVs), and I’m likely in the market for a new car this year. Their piss poor record on labor, up to and including the use of child labor, and the lack of unionization in the US is the biggest issue steering me away from the brand. Hyundai ought to get
