Whoa this guy’s opinion is so different and edgy. Everyone applaud him.

Because it’s the right character transformation as determined by propulsive narrative development. It doesn’t have to be “right”—it just has to fit, and it fits. Oh, how it fits! For all of this show’s dynamite shootouts and setpieces, the writers also know and develops the characters extremely well.

Jimmy’s disbelief to Kim’s “pew-pew” in this finale mirrors perfectly with her being stunned by Jimmy’s “S’all good, man” in the season 4 finale.

Thank you for the lovely review, Donna.

She was great, not just for the gripping scene at the end but all of it. The way she looks when she finds the cup with the bullet hole you know she’s mad that he lied. Then when he freaks out with the juicer you can tell she’s thinking that maybe he didn’t lie so much as he just can’t talk about it yet.  Then she gets

Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler as written by Gould/Gilligan writing room has become one of the more enigmatic female characters I’ve seen portrayed - she is such a great character, her motivations are sometimes opaque and yet always believably depicted - tonight was a rare example of Kim expressing her motivation via

I’m not sure which part was more heartbreaking, Kim worrying about Saul and the relief she felt after he called her, Kim seeing the coffee cup with the bullet hole, or Kim almost breaking down and giving Saul that look after Lalo left.

I think it's entirely possible Kim is just hanging out during BB. Gene is waiting to feel 100% safe before calling Kim to move to him. That's my rosy prediction.

However they end this season, if there’s going to be any collision with the “Breaking Bad” world there has to be a time jump in the next season.

Lalo “cares” because he knows Jimmy lied to him; and Lalo is 100% ‘that controlling sociopath.’

“The only thing that kept me going in that dessert was you.” (Jimmy to Kim in the bathtub) I feel as though if it wasn’t clear enough at this point, this seems like a pretty telling sign to imply Kim is definitely still around by the BB timeline.

I think Kim leaves in the near future because Jimmy is ignoring her concerns.

I don’t see Kim being murdered or maimed. I think if that had happened, it would have broken Jimmy. I don’t think he would have become the Saul we see in Breaking Bad.

Wow. Amazing. I really appreciate the theological references/comments, Donna. I keep thinking we are waiting for a Saul/Paul moment, and maybe we are there? If Saul gets blinded briefly by a flash of light in the beginning of the next episode, that would be interesting.

I caught that immediately that he didn't want to wear it.  Bad memories and all.

I was yelling to get the lawyer mug before Saul grabbed it.  Poor thing.

The Saul wave to pass was truly laugh-out-loud funny.

Excellent catch on the similarity to Chuck’s space blanket.

For a show whose universe’s future we already know so much about, I now have absolutely no idea what’s in store for these last fifteen episodes. Though I’d be very surprised if Lalo isn’t still around for the final season. Seems a little early to kill him off.

What a gorgeous episode, a series highlight. I’m disappointed it wasn’t titled “Cucaracha” after Lalo’s monniker for Saul (because now he’s 100% Saul, amigo del cartel).

Goodbye, little Esteem. You were...an import. When they pushed it over the cliff I couldn’t help but think of Sam Raimi’s Oldsmobile. The shot-thru
