I wouldn’t mind side stories that dealt with individual conflicts between Assassins and Templars that aren’t connected to the main story. Ubi already set a precedent for that being possible in AC: Liberation.

They all tell an overarching story and are all connected quite intimately. However, until AC3, the story could actually be followed if you paid attention. Then Ubi bombed the ending for 3. The story should’ve ended with that one. The story has been artificially extended to justify making new games because they have to

I haven’t played any since AC3 (felt too burned to want to continue) but I have read up on the story. You know, just in case it has been redeemed. So far I’ve read nothing that was meaningful to the overall story. Most feels pointless. This one is still too early to tell without playing but I have a feeling nothing

I just wish the overall story didn’t completely lose focus and became artificially extended. The story should’ve ended with AC3, IMO, and even then they messed that up!

Remember when AC was supposed to be a trilogy?

I got all of those reprints except Captain Falcon (don’t care for the character/design)- so excited to get Shulk! I’m praying Rosalina, Robin, Lucina, Palutena, and Pit get the same treatment.

Yeah no. That looks very gaudy and quite ugly. It isn’t BO3 PS4 controller ugly, but it is still ugly.

I’m not saying they don’t have the right, just that they shouldn’t feel the need to do so. What makes this one and Bravely Default stronger candidates for changing/censoring but not Bayonetta? There’s a double standard here.

DAMMIT!!! Beat me to it!

Everything you’re saying is valid and I agree, except it is still censorship. It’s self censorship that’s brought on by fear of upsetting some people or losing a few sales. The very definition of censorship is the removal/suppression of what is deemed unacceptable. That is what has happened here.

And the business decision was to censor. Don’t get me wrong, I think the outfits look completely out of place and stupid, but I really rather companies did not censor their artists out of what is ultimately brought on by fear.

Censorship doesn’t have to be enforced by a government. Censorship can occur by someone fearing the consequences or trying to maintain some standard.

That’s sort of what’s making me worry about TFA. So far it doesn’t “feel” like Star Wars. I get much more of a Star Trek vibe from it. But I’m not much of a fan of Abram’s Trek in the first place.

I agree with all that you’re saying, but man was it hard to read with seemingly every other word a swear of some sort. I don’t mind cursing but there is a limit before one sounds like an uneducated hick trying to sound cool for their uneducated hick pals.

That’s a very valid point about videogames often being personal. But your last point about not being much of a comparison besides wearing glasses/visor, that exception, is the the entire reason I think VR (in its current form) won’t take off.

I think it does fit, regardless if the VR experience is anything like 3D or not. It has to do with what the average consumer feels comfortable with. If they weren’t comfortable wearing glasses then I don’t see how an entire headset and headphones will be accepted easily. Also, the average consumer often likes things

“It doesn’t matter what it will cost. If it costs too much this week it will cost the right amount a year from now.”

I doubt price will be VR’s primary cause of demise (assuming it does flop), it will be slapping a big plastic brick on your face. If the masses didn’t warm up to 3D, mainly due to having to wear glasses, then I don’t see how they’ll warm up to VR. But who really knows, stranger things have happened in the consumer

I’ve been hoping for some time that someone would do something like that, and Nintendo is perfect for that. I wonder how much like my thought it will be? That is, the console itself is a handheld system that you put into a cradle so you can pick up a controller and continue seamlessly.

That’s why I think the party system needs to be done away with. It allows candidates to hide behind party rhetoric and it has allowed people to band together over certain creeds, which shouldn’t be a bad thing, but in this case it’s made it possible for politicians to become incredibly polarized on important issues.
