So it turns out that iOS 4.2 has been delayed till Nov 16th! This is my time to gloat!! The missus and kid left for a trip yesterday night. I had to decide on Wednesday night whether to force-update her iPad with the GM iOS 4.2 and decided to go ahead and do it. The update went well, and she has her new international

these are similar reasons why steve jobs said they wouldn't release a 7 inch ipad.

I had a kitteh that looked just like that! This is a photo I took after teaching her not to mess with my electronics. I kid, I kid!

@jchen1: Wrong! To the untrained eye, it would *appear* as if it was he who was launched. However, when Mr. Norris kicked the ground, it was our planet that was pushed downward as Mr. Norris remained where he was after the blow was dealt. This kick shifted the Earth's orbit by an hour, which is also why we had to

this would make a nice paintball field!

@envador: Just to answer my own question... from the settlement page:

and how much did the lawyers and their law firm make?

@Eric Cartman: Hehe, at least I got an "E" for effort with that fermenting sugar cream, right? :) Sometimes, when I'm feeling extray health-conscious, I get the Fillet-O-Fish. After all, fried fish smothered in tartar sauce with a slice of cheese is much better than artery-clogging beef!

I had it yesterday. Yes, I'm one of those people who upload photos to facebook. Here it is in all its glory. Notice the parfait, my lazy attempt at improving the healthfulness of my meal. :)

number 10 and 11 ... nice :) and I feel somehow cheated by that fake postit.

@GitEm$teveDave: sounds like they were thrown away for a reason! (kidding). But all jokes aside, I'm still rooting for the iPad for his case because of all the educational and entertainment apps that he's able to use like read-along storybooks. All accessible to him with just the touch of a fingertip. The best case

Cottingley Fairies read was very interesting! The first 3 photos looked obviously fake, but by the 4th and 5th they were getting to be pretty convincing!

@iDon't even: no he doesn't have the dexterity to use a netbook. The ipad's capacitive touch screen and small footprint makes it so he can actually get his arm positioned easily to use it. It also didn't require any modifications to use it. Modding a netbook would increase cost by a lot more. Also where are you going

@moucon: I'll keep my brat in the approved restraints when required, just like you can use your laptop when allowed. I won't tell you to duct tape your laptop to the tray table at all other times, so what's the problem? Did you comprehend what I wrote?

@taylorantennae: From what we could tell (at the time) is that it really was meant for tethering a child to your seatbelt. It wasn't an extender; it actually had an special loop for you to run your seatbelt through, so it's not like your belly was going to crush up against your baby's back in case the plane should

The last plane we were on, the flight attendants gave us an add-on seatbelt for our baby. You put your seatbelt through the add-on seatbelt and then fasten your seatbelt. Then the add-on has its own buckle that you fasten to your baby.

Monorail! Monorail! Monorail!
