I could see Kraven if they wanted to go “dark” since Kraven’s Last Hunt is pretty dark for a Spider-man book. Or stripped down, ala the Daniel Craig Bond films? But aren’t they doing a John Hughes theme with the new Spider-Man? That doesn’t seem to mesh with the villain. If they are still going the high school route,

... they managed to make Deadpool’s costume look expressive and 100% badass cool despite his face being completely covered and his eyes being two white orbs. IT CAN BE DONE.

Seriously, has she seen absolutely no Superhero movies since the 1989 Batman came out?

The same way they try to make every super hero movie “grounded” and “gritty” and describe it as “big”.

It’s shocking that it cost under a million bucks but Roger Corman managed to come up with the best looking Doom of the lot:

I can imagine the execs talking, “The mask in the comics is stupid, we should go with something more android/robot like, with tiny, tiny green eyes.”

Is it too hard to make an “Evil Iron Man”? C’mmon Fox!

Still the best movie Doom:

Kraven’s Last Hunt shouldn’t be a starter story for the new franchise, but it could due to the formula of these movies. The plot of these things always seems like a nice end to a chapter in a superhero career, with BIG BAD things happening all around to drive the plot forward. Cool it with the arms race, movie makers.

For Agents of SHIELD, didn’t we see this coming the whole season? Simmons has a bigotry against powered individuals. While it may not be violent, it became more and more expressed as the season went on. 10 bucks says that when she is released from the artifact she now has some new powers and must face her own biases,

Maybe it’s just my fanboy crush on Henstridge talking, but I find something really endearing about the statement “kind of as a theme or something like that.”

So Fox continues to deny us the real Doom because they think it would look ludicrous and then they give us this horrible blank-face turd? It’s so ugly that makes the other iteration look pretty decent in comparison...

I think it’s the teeeny pin-point green eyes that pushed it into “Doctor Who” villain for me.

what you see is these superheroes have been humanized. That’s what makes this kind of a different superhero movie.

That’s their Doom.

I’ve never even thought of removing the, now that I’m looking at it, stupid sticker listing basic features of the computer. What the hell is wrong with me?

Or get a Mac...

playing devil’s advocate some may think they’re hard to remove and leave residue on the laptop.

And on your goddamned flat-brimmed hat you ridiculous asshole!!!
