Mine scaled at 2860 with a 15" sub fiberglassed into the trunk-well. I lost over 50# with the exhaust swap so it all evened out.
Yeah you're nuts lol. The problem is that you will be consistently floating the rear wheel. I carry my rear wheel a hundred feet at a time braking on track and frequently weave very hard and float on the road as well. It just depends on the abs program. You really should post your results here!
Nice! You'll love that power, bite and feel of modulation at the lever, I'm running Nissin 310?mms off my old wadded 954rr with HH pads and Brembo radial master, they are outstanding.
9300 right now at my local dealer for a 2014 matte grey R. Look around a little.
Ehhh, reliable lol. Yeah, I get a whole season reliably at 83hp but anything over 85 not so much because +13:1 just hammers shit. That's also wide open most of the way around a fast track at PIR. On the street an 80hp SV is like, the best thing ever. Did you use the gsxr brakes? Brembo radial master cylinder is a…
The verses, tenere, etc are so underrated in their enjoyableness.
I'm so excited for you! Everyone I've taught to ride has expressed chagrin at waiting.
I hope you love it, great decision on your part.
I infinity this. 883's are fun to customize but pretty much suck to ride.
You get it. FUN>SCARY
Zlock racing can build you a 100hp SV motor at about 800 lol, they sound pretty healthy. I highly suggest looking for a track ridden SV at the end of season, (now) pick it up cheap like 3k, put all the upgraded parts on your street bike.
The SV is infinitely more capable SS as you develop your skills. I've raced one extensively in 650 Superbike class (unlimited mods except displacement) and they are capable of ridiculous lap times given the hp. Mine made 83 at the wheel on VP110 and with Penske, Brembo, Hayabusa motor parts etc it stays insanely fun.
It feels very friendly to me coming off of track prepped 200hp superbikes/busa drag bike. While I don't disagree on exploiting the excellent chassis and motor, it is very easy to ride in an uncommitted fashion. I put PR4's on mine for winter, I go out and ride it in legitimately muddy crap like a super moto. Id…
This is why I ride motorcycles, fish, hunt, golf anything that doesn't require me to hate myself after interacting with other hominids.
Find a thrashed Kawasaki EX500 Ninja or a first gen Suzuki SV650. Both are low maintenance, beginner friendly but possess enough capability to keep you entertained for several years.
Yup.
Nope, lighter. It really should be fun, TT not so much because UNDERSTEER.
Love it in green, that should be the only color it came in.
This Ducati offering is far from the truly retro suspension and motor in a Bonneville, it should be light years better to chuck around.
