I tried like hell to kill one of those as a work Truck, it just kept going, totally amazed me. On the other hand, my buddy Toothless has had two of them burn to ash and one repeatedly sucked head gaskets until he could no longer mill the warp out of the head.
Having owned/flogged both an 88 Mr2 SC and an 03 Ap1 I can say emphatically they are the best cars for experienced super bike racers to shred really tight roads but casual drivers at high speed sweeper play beware.

245k? That's awesome. I've been on street bikes since 92 and may have a little over half that many miles on about 30 bikes.
Oregon tried a tiered licensing system and it resulted in no discernable differentiation in the risk pool. One state isn't a great sample size but it was significant enough that an all blue state voluntarily abandoned a regulation, which they are loathe to do.
