I’m stretching a bit here, but considering 5th to 6th gen is very minor change except the downsizing, 4th gen to modern Camaros is a huge jump (and yes, of course 5/6 are meant to recall 1st gen, which then had a big change to 2nd and 3rd gens).

Everyone posting the current generation and only the first generation, and skipping about six generations between them are kind of missing the point here.

The Blazer and TrailBlazer

Given the ~50 year gap, and that the “new” Demon is a Challenger, they look very alike.

There’s so many valid complaints against the Cybertruck that it isn’t even funny, and this is what you are concerned with?  Just looking to complain about something, lol.

or that the tires need to be properly inflated, windows closed, bike rack removed, etc etc.

Do typical pick-up trucks advertise that best fuel economy is only when the tailgate is closed?

not to defend Tesla or cybertruck or whatever but an ICE car will loose 10-15% efficiency/range with the windows open or sunroof. Simply physics.

Not utilizing major aerodynamic component on vehicle specifically designed to include said component negatively impacts aerodynamics.  Water is also wet.  More news at 10.

Not to be a dick, but none of what you said—Chicken Tax excepted—directly supports your claim. It’s a bunch of general hand waving with vague claims. Even what might be argued is a direct point, possibly the 25 year import ban, seems like a dubious example at best.

It is an extremely poor example, possibly the worst example to use in the past 40 years. We had a huge reduction in supply of goods from shutdowns and a huge increase in supply of money AT THE SAME TIME.

Less will be imported and bought and other local items that don’t have tariffs will be bought or substituted. Most of these items are not necessities, so overall that same may be spent, just less items purchased. Inflation is caused by too much money chasing too few goods, tariffs don’t really change the first part

What makes them* so unfair, to say, a vehicle made in Japan or Europe?

While I do not agree with this exactly. But do think we need to take a good hard look at vehicle imports from China and Chinese companies. How do you figure these tariffs would lead to “runaway inflation and joblessness”?

Plenty of Teslas still qualify, including all Model Y variants. Here are all the vehicles that qualify as of 3/18/2024:

That’s not the same at all, since a night club or stadium aren’t publicly owned, public areas.
