I was going to reply to skeffles, but they have a tendency to dismiss replies they don’t like, no matter how legit. So:

I agree, but you also miss that this is a hobby for people.  He was likely going to spend money on the car anyways; it’s not like he’s going to gain 70 lbs because he shaved 70 lbs off the car.  And I’m not sure how big Bradley is, but it’d take him a hell of a lot longer to drop 70 lbs than it would replace the roof.

if he hadn’t gotten drunk and pointed a gun, pellet or not, out the window of his hotel room...

Do exactly as they tell you, and all will be just fine,

They always side with the cops, claim to have never had a bad interaction with them, and thus, if someone does, it is that specific person’s fault.

Pepsi, Coke, and Tesla are all morally corrupt companies. So I’m not sure what the big deal here is.

So that’s why the Model 3 outsells the Model Y in the US... oh, wait, they are just like everyone and want a crossover.

EV Maverick (or similar) please.

Tell me you don’t know anything about gas pumps and car chargers, without telling you don’t know anything about gas pumps and car chargers.

I would just have the FIA mandate some sort of driver cooling system that isn’t uniquely designed by the teams. Probably some sort of suit with associated cooling pack; all cars have to be able to hold/accept them, it doesn’t count towards any weight regulations/mandates. Once cockpit temperatures get above a certain

The teams couldn’t even throw water on their drivers to keep them cool.

The white line is very real, and probably one of the best changes to happen to F1 in recent years.

If the FIA can step in and red flag a race because of rain, I fail to see why they can’t red flag a race because of other weather (temperature) issues. Monitor cockpit temperatures or something.

The race started at 8:00PM local time...

Statements like this ignore that traffic itself almost never follows traffic laws. What percentage of people never speed, roll stop signs, always signal, never block the box, always immediately pull over for emergency vehicles...

Welcome to the gun control argument.

Please. Please give us more roundabouts. It’d totally eliminate that stuck-at-the-never-changing-light-despite-no-traffic-coming situations.

$7,500 in federal income tax is a single person making $70k with zero dependants and zero tax minimalizations. Realistically, you can make upwards of $75k-80k and still not pay $7,500 in federal income taxes.

This is some victim blaming bullshit, and assumes that all pedestrian strikes occur when the pedestrian is entering the cross-walk from the “right” side of the road.

I think they are specifically talking about the red left turn arrow, not green ones.
