Of course, that all depends on the situation.  You aren’t fitting seven people in a Mach-E or Model Y.  And while safety is very important to people, none of these vehicles are dangerous enough that someone should feel bad because they also want something like increased utility that a minivan provides.

Trying to explain to my wife why she needs her lap belt tighter in my ‘65 has become exhausting.  I tell her we are basically in a thin tin can without any crumple zones, without any major crash protection, without airbags, and that the lap belt is our lone form of protection simply doesn’t click with her.  She’s got

Roughly the same:

Doesn’t appear to be a trend based on foldy seats:

Looks like an old cop car, not an active one.

They couldn’t even be bothered to tool up a unique rear door for the Gladiator.  It’s so dumb.

I hear multiple blunt force impacts are great for organs.

By their definition a Ford Bronco Sport, Hyundai Tucson and Honda Pilot are all SUVs because they have truck counterparts.

The coolest are the Dynaflow Buicks.  So buttery smooth, so inefficient, and the design makes them hard to replace with anything else.

Careful, nitro fuel will eat through most wood finishes (varnish, poly...).  15 year old me found that out after working on my nitro monster truck on the kitchen table.

This whole post ignores that most restorations/drivetrain swaps cost far more than it’s “worth”.  Throwing a (new) LS and TKX in my ‘65 is something I’ve been wanting to do, but I’ll never get the money back out of it when it comes time to sell.  Buying all that stuff new is likely $15k+.  If I couldn’t do it myself,

It’s easily defined to anyone with any semblance of critical thinking who isn’t trying to be an argumentative douche canoe.

LOL, if tuning it and re-gearing the rear are are acceptable, that would remove any automatic transmission from this list.

It’s funny, because people that don’t know how vehicles are built assume that everything can go into nice neat categories, but they can’t.

Illuminated logos/grilles are one of those thing that in theory they are cool.  But in practice, they are so tacky and lame.

Made worse on their insistence on fake shift points. If you are going to be use a CVT hold it at peak engine power if I’m flooring it, or hold it at peak efficiency if I’m puttering.

Which, even if you fixed the auto’s programming, then you’d be let down by the wheezy engine.

What’s a GMC Safari then? How about a Jeep XJ? Fifth gen Ford Explorer? Heck, sixth (current) gen Explorer? Modern Range Rovers? Current Land Rover Defender?

I’m hesitant to call it a great car, but:

It’s actually turning me off from buying a Santa Cruz.  While I prefer the Maverick, I was considering at least test driving a Santa Cruz because they are actually available.  Don’t think I can entertain buying something from such a shitty company.
