The flip side is that these celebrities often get expanded access, free tickets, and other perks to show up to the race, with some minor expectation that they’ll be thrown in front of cameras and likely have a microphone shoved in their face and asked some questions. I agree they don’t have to give an interview; they

And they look cool as fuck.  Well, the SS does too... I’d take either.

My mother-in-law picked up a NA on the cheap. Friggen hated it. I felt like a bloated giant in it—despite not being very large (5'10" and 220lbs)—and it simply didn’t handle that great. Any moderately sized uphill required downshifting at least two gears.

Isn’t their V8 based on the Ford modular V8?  “Based” doing some heavy lifting here, as I don’t think they are anything alike anymore.

You can get an AWD hybrid Escape... or at least you could. No idea if they still offer it, but they did in 2020 and 2021 that I know of.

Here’s the thing though, this isn’t better than what it started out as. Is it bad? No, it’s not bad. But it is certainly worse than if they had just left it alone.

I call bullshit, since the Escape it’s based on offers a hybrid AWD, and it’s long been rumored that it’s coming.

Where’s the plug-in-hybrid?  Where’s the AWD hybrid?  Where’s the plug-in-AWD-hybrid?

This is stupid because the teams don’t generally go from one race directly to the next. The often go from the race, back to their HQ, then to the next race. Sure, not all the stuff goes back to HQ, but a hell of a lot of it does.

You lack any logic at all.

You’re telling me that with two hours that the customer isn’t going to buy any more than a small thing of snacks?  LOL.

Ehh, still not entirely convinced. Margins on gas is reportedly almost non-existent to gas station operators. Margins on charging is drastically higher. Of course, without actual numbers, who fuckin’ knows.

> Any smaller pumping sites will be unviable, because you can’t have one of your six-twelve pumps out of commission for two hours or more on a single customer.

Isn’t the picture actually Spencerport?

Notably missing from this story:

I agree it’s a poor metric, but I disagree on your conclusion... or why would Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram all so far apart? The Ux is basically the same, but only Chrysler has the horribly unreliable Pacifica hybrid.

And the Chilean miners.

I heard all those fail safe systems don’t bring it fully to the surface, but somewhere between 100ft and 10ft from the surface.  At either of those depths, GPS generally doesn’t work.

Well... even smaller craft now.

Don’t get me wrong, it should have had a GPS beacon.  But also understand, that GPS likely wouldn’t be doing shit for them right now because the signal can’t penetrate much water at all.  The Titan would have to be floating on the surface--which it likely isn’t--for it to work.  Even the best GPS systems can’t
