Everyone making fun of the large "RAM" on the back... this stuff has been going on for years.

I'm always a bit confused by the truck hate. Yes, this looks a bit bro-trucky, but the statement "how many people actually go offroad in ______," is stupid. How many M3 drivers actually take their cars to the track? Ferrari owners? Corvette owners? Dodge Viper owners? LOOK AT ALL THE PERFORMANCE ORIENTED

That is pure speculation.

How was the old Titan a poor performer? Sure, compared to the ones today it isn't great, but when it came out it was a great truck!

CAUTION: DO NOT BUY THIS UGLY AS TRUCK!

Basically the same old truck, just a different face.

It's portly directed into the inject.

Yeah, I have yet to see a Raptor flex/break under reasonable conditions.

I'm Xterra is a stick. When you hustle through the gears, it's not rewarding like even a sporty hatchback. It's a bit of a chore. It's notchy. It has the back end squatting from acceleration, popping back up during the shift, then squatting again; the throws are long.

Frame flex is only a concern for idiots thinking a street car is a trophy truck.

You totally left out that it was a pretty badass car back in the day.

I find it a bit funny that before the GT350 came along and Jalopnik had that little explainer, I never saw a single comment about a flatplane crank or a crossplane crank. Now it seems like it's the most important thing in the world and full of people pretending to know something about a specific engine or engines in

Assuming you bought it in 2006, that $23,180 is actually $27,152 in 2014 dollars. Yeah, doesn't sound like the price has really increased that much if you include all the added features the MK7 has over a MKV.

The MKV came out in 2006 in the US, 8 years ago. $20,000 in 2003 is equivalent to $23,029.05 in 2013 (the most recent year the inflation calculator would go).

They turn before they make it to the top. Look at the horizon before they turn, along with the messed up gradient angle. They are still climbing. Turning 180° while going up a incline, means you must be facing downwards after you turn.

NA V8's are becoming things of the past. Turbos are the future. This is a flagship. It will showcase tech of the future. Also, Ford has been strongly supporting turbos in their quest to downsize displacement and cut the number of cylinders.

Those are all flatplane V8's. A flatplane can spin at higher RPMs than a crossplane, which this probably has (like all other V6's in Ford's stable that I can think of right now).

I'm not seeing any styling connection between this and a GT40 or the GT.

It's a twin turbo V6... are you really surprised?

Yes it is beautiful. No it doesn't look like a Ford GT. It looks like a LaFerrari.
