What's wrong with being nice? I like being nice.
What's wrong with being nice? I like being nice.
The Macy's near me recently moved the plus size section. At first it was across from shoes. Nice spot! Then they moved it to an alcove off the handbag area. Ok, fine. Just recently they moved it to the basement. You have to walk through housewares, all these kid clothes sections, bedding, you name it. Then, in a…
I was so pleased when I saw that Jezebel and a bunch of other blogs followed me. Thank you, one and all!
I love how a lot of maternity clothes have shirred sides. I find it really flattering on me, and it feels great too.
They don't even have one rack anymore at my store. It's been overtaken by clearance racks, which I first thought were temporary, but 6 months later don't seem to be. I'm getting hot with anger thinking about it. I thought, "Could they really do this? Empty their plus size clothes down to nothing?" Yes, they could.
YES! They did! (say it 4 months ago)
Totally. I had more of a hard time getting over my relationship. Like, years and years hard. It was a neverending cycle of the abuse playing itself over in my head when he wasn't even around anymore. People would tell me all the time to just get over it. I heard that so many times. But I almost felt like they were…
What a wonderful piece. It resonated with me in some ways because I was emotionally abused. A lot of the same ideas apply, like the need to love yourself.
This is amazing. First of all, I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels like I just gained 50 pounds. Right now I'm trying to lose weight. I've lost 30 pounds, but last week I was sure I had put it all back on. I don't weigh myself except when I'm at the doctor, but I knew logically I hadn't gained that much because…
Haha...I had a similar thing happen. A lady brought in a kid's orange shirt and wanted to return it, but it had no price tag and no receipt. IIRC, there was no tag on the shirt itself, like the one that has care instructions. She yelled at me and made me cry. But everyone was like, lady, do you really expect us to…
"I'll teach you how to ski at Sochi!" Hahahaha!
"Paper towel nadir": excellent!!
I have great coworkers right now. We have a lot of fun and often reminisce about days of yore.
My therapist was on vacation recently and it was the worst 3 weeks of my life. I feel for you. Hope you feel better soon.
Interesting! Yes, I just heard yesterday about someone who bought the exact same pants in different colors at the same time, and had to return a bunch of them. My ON jeans are also at least 4 inches too long, and they're average length, and I'm average height. I just don't know anymore.
I think one problem is that they actively try to mess with your mind. I mean, sure, you have to influence people in advertising, but where do we draw the line? When there are obvious trends of body image issues and things like that that literally affect the health of people, that's going a little too far.
As a size 20, 5'7", I want to slap everyone. ;) J/k, just people who have a problem with me, and obviously that dude would be one.
Oh My God. Yeah, good riddance. I don't even understand how people can say stuff like that.
Yeah, after I wrote that and read some more of the comments, I can see that. I think I responded to her more after I read more of her background and connected to her issues as a woman. Not to say she's really done anything feminism-related, really, but I like it when a woman becomes successful and is sort of an…
I weirdly kind of like Iggy Azalea. At first I was like, WTF is this?!?!?! But I was drawn in nonetheless. I like the "Work" song.
