Cool, I haven’t watched Beyond, looking forward to it now.

And how he got offered 8 figures for the script but turned it down. “Mr X” is pretty spot on there.
Wow.
Yeah I actually read all the Outpost 9 stories, they were lovely.
Yeah, except in this case I stopped caring at precisely the moment everything went horribly wrong for him - that film destroyed him. It’s interesting in a train-wreck kind of way if you look at his blog posts leading up to the film. They start out saying HOLY SHIT GUYS THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING and LOOK AT THESE…
That’s true that they are action movies, but I reserve the right to wish they weren’t. I enjoyed them in a brainless kind of way, but I always felt they should do better.
This sounds fucking awesome. That is all.

I think all the reboots could use less action.
I read most of the stories on his website many years back, and actually followed several of the other blogs he ended up hosting before it all went tits up, presumably because he's kind of a narcissistic douchebag who cares more about his image than running a business. But there were actually a few things on there that…
So was the kid worth it?
Huh. That's my favourite Stone film, I think. A lot of people here were talking about how good it was like last week.
I have listened to way more of the rap star episodes than the comedians, but I like either one.
I’m a big fan of The Comedian’s Comedian, which is the only other one I’ve listened to a lot of. Then just a few random episodes of other ones: Guys We Fucked, Final Level with Ice T, WTF, and I can’t remember the rest off the top of my head.
No, Kasher.
A propos of nothing, about 15 years late I have recently started listening to podcasts, and my favourite right now is Moshe Kasher and Neal Brennan's The Champs, which has been finished for like 4 years or something but is hella awesome.
He does a bit about that on his last special.
Yeah, but by itself with nothing on the side? Pretty rare, isn’t it?
It's very entertaining, and has some really good actors. Hmmmm… imagine someone with the genuinely idiosyncratic style of a Zack Snyder and a similar penchant for BIG STUFF AND THINGS HAPPENING, but with less CGI and more history, kind of, and somehow mediated through the French arthouse scene.
