We have a tradition...volunteers from the community gather at the beaches the day after a major holiday and clean up trash. I’m glad to see DC doing the same in their neighborhoods..
I had never heard of banana pudding until a couple of weeks ago. Seems Toran Grays opened a restaurant that sells only banana pudding just before COVID hit. Damn it, makes you feel for the guy, right?

We hold fast food workers to high standards. We don;t let them do their jobs in ways that cause people to get sick or die. Seems like every job ought to have those same standards.

If the “Aunt Jemima” logo had started out as it ended up, a kind of “Betty Crocker” who just happened to be Black because some people are Black, it could have been fine. It didn’t, and trying to wash the racist stink off was never going to work.
