When I had a relative stationed in the UK while in the Navy, they said Mt Dew from America was like gold bars on the base because you couldn’t buy it locally. Turns out, some countries aren’t fans of their citizens having unlimited sugar & caffeine available any time.
I don’t miss key doors as the norm, but I do think they need to stay available as a backup. I’ve had keys suddenly stop working while I’m out and that physical key was very appreciated.
I don’t think anyone honestly anticipated that Barbie was going to be the giant it was, so pre-ordering costumes like it was the next Avengers would have been a huge risk. A lot easier to react and send out clothes for Halloween/Christmas than hope a movie about a doll becomes a billion-dollar hit.
This is shaping up to be a pretty solid movie.
Based on how the Jez comments looked in their final days, I’m about 100% certain they just fired everyone who manages them. So, these are the consequences of an online comment board with no maintenance or monitoring.
Everyone is jumping to negative biases. Positive biases also exist.
Now Big Woke is coming for our poop. I should have listened to the warnings.
I went Catholic school from K-12 and I’m only a few generations removed from the guy who founded the Catholic diocese where I grew up. I don’t think there’s any limit what a group will justify for the sake of their personal beliefs. I did get one of my high school teachers to openly state to a class that having a…
Apologies for not including an /s here. Looks like the Amish are monitoring kinja now too.
Leasing a home charger sounds like an odd choice. There is a lot of electrical work that can go into that, so it’s not really something you just unplug and pick up later on. Financing deals on them can make a lot of sense. Get people locked into the long-term cost of paying for a charger could push to keep that…
It will probably still snow around Easter though. The upper Midwest loves snowing on Easter.
Is the windshield fluid really a thing? I’m sure it’s pretty gross, but I’m not drinking the stuff. It can’t be much worse than all the junk coming out of nearby exhausts in traffic that layers the entire roadway.
If the Catholics & Evangelicals have taught us anything, it’s to keep a close eye on the most pious among us...
I know they have loopholes, just like every practicing religion, but thought it was funny. A bit silly refusing to use electricity and then going out and using one of those largest, highly advanced businesses in the world just because it presents itself as cheap.
Despite semi-recently being ended, the occasional rumor of return, and popularity they once had, I frequently forget about the Dodge Dakota. When discussions of small trucks of old comes up my first thoughts are always the S10 & Ranger. I even think back to Mitsubishi trucks more than the Dakota, and one of those…
The Amish are allowed to shop at Walmart? That just sounds like cheating.
That no longer never existed. A mere 67 years ago the National Guard was required for a few children to access their school.
The filter thing makes sense why my nearby Sams seems to get crazy slow sometimes, while I never dealt with that at Costco. I would not be surprised if Sams waits an extra 100k gallons to replace their filters while Costco is quicker to replace them.
That may backfire based on how much divorced dads hate remakes because the original (aka the first one they saw) is their favorite.
