Missing the 67 Impala from Supernatural. That car was just perfect for the TV show.

Now I’m curious if the weight distribution of a battery pack makes RWD easier for the masses to deal with than an ICE with all the weight up front...Dealing with RWD in the snow a pretty common talking point in the snow belt, I knew a lot of people who refused RWD because of it.
Would have preferred a manual, but hell yes. Even with my nostalgia induced love for SCs, a fully functional car for $4k that’s also solidly in the category of slow cars that are fun to drive fast is a good deal. Fast enough to merge, but it takes some effort to speed too much in a city. That radio is a really easy…
So It, but with cars (now I want to rewatch the 2 recent It movies). I’m not saying the idea is impossible, but I assume there are big money reasons why there haven’t been many attempts at a horror movie that put emphasis on kids dying on screen via realistic methods. That would be a big career risk for the writers,…
I didn’t know you could buy a car on Wish. This gives the Changli some real competition.
Thinking of what a “normal” interest rate is for people under ~37 versus those who were old enough to understand what was going on in 1970s/80s is a weird exercise these days. Historically speaking, interest rates have basically been non-existent since 2007.
Already dead kids that are haunting others is not the same as watching a group of seemingly innocent children get mowed down. Same deal goes with cartoons (especially anime), that rarely depict the youth & innocence of a child the same way a real-life child on a screen does. I’m not saying it’s impossible, I’m just…
Movie teens (who are generally in their mid-20s in real life and look very adult) is very different socially & emotional than young children getting killed en masse. It doesn’t carry the same weight as murdering 8 year olds.
Generally speaking, dead kids do not sell very well in entertainment.
Long term planning is rarely a skill found in serial criminals like this, as the conclusion is pretty much always the same and becomes more inevitable with each repeated crime.
When I was working in Seattle, I saw more hyper/rare cars than I’ve ever seen anywhere else on the road, but I also had a number of projects in the neighborhoods of mega millionaires. One guy bought 3/4 of the houses in his cul-de-sac as they went on the market just so he could literally pick his neighbors. Plenty of…
2/3 majority of the senate is the only thing that I know of that can actually do anything to SCOTUS
You have to shrug because there is virtually nothing that can be (legally) done about it. Unelected officials with a lifetime appointment and realistically zero accountability. I can’t possibly imagine why that would be ripe for corruption, especially when ~40% of the electorate are pretty cool with it, since the…
I was under the impression that the square spoon was an innovation by McDonalds.
Would be curious to see the difference in maintenance costs between a Tesla/Rivian and the BEVs from GM, Kia, Hyundai, & Audi. Not curious enough to look it up, but I wonder if the legacy automakers are making them any cheaper to repair, seeing as cheaper maintenance (from fewer parts) is supposed to be a pro of BEV…
Give the adults a toothbrush.
I imagine $5-$10k is a more realistic expectation, depending on the previous owner’s care. If a full engine rebuild, transmission replacement, and other various parts comes into play, then things could get very, very costly (depending on the BMW pros in your area). These are also know for electrical issues, which can…
The black truck pulling over after the hit is probably the only reason no one died. Otherwise, the semi is forced to choose if they hit the truck or squish the biker (potentially both). So much dumb luck involved.
I don’t think very many people realize the police do not exist to serve & protect citizens. They are the enforcement branch of the government and their purpose is to protect capital. The human protection only part is just there for those who are producing capital. People can chime in all they want about how it’s only…
I wish mine did. I honestly don’t know what level of violence or destruction enacted by a US police force could stun me anymore. I’d be more shocked to find a large police force that did not commit things like that.
