I am delighted that not only was he heckled, he was heckled by conservatives. It’s harder to spin that one.

When I was a server, you’d either stay until your section was empty, or transfer the table to a different server who was staying later, and forfeit any tip from that table. It was understood that being able to get out before you finished your job meant the server that picked up your table would then get the tip, for

Given the size and visibility of the largest SUVs, there should be a separate driver’s test for people who want to drive them, just like CDLs. That might have saved the hood of my car from the ass who backed her Escalade into it in a parking lot.

Rock 2020.

People seemed to do okay with big trucks, station wagons, etc. “back in the day”. It’s people being inattentive, lazy lumps that leads to this.

Hahahaha it works!

I’m not from there, but my rule of thumb is that landmarks should only be named after people of local significance. Of course, that lead my area to having a bunch of landmarks named after prominent local loyalist Joseph... Lee.

I’m so glad we are moving beyond just meat products; I hope one day we move beyond companies saying “Just remove 2/3s of the product!!!!” and counting that as a vegan offering lol

The point is not necessarily health, but the enormous economic and ethical impact of the meat industry.

“Beyond Sausage is a planet-based meat alternative.”

Yeah. I have this problem with morning routine and the muscle memory of going to the search bar, typing “de” and then “enter” because google already knows what I want and being there before I even realized where I was going.

Maybe something about selling food without a permit might screw him?

1st - welcome to Jalopnik. Contrary to the beliefs of some other commenters, we do welcome you, although this site isn’t as eclectic as Deadspin was (I was an occasional weekend reader and not very successful commenter of Deadspin)

I’m sorry to say, but if you came to Jalopnik looking for a lack of overlap between cars and politics, you may want to stick to Autoblog regurgitated press releases, or Motor Trend. There’s no such things as cars without a healthy dose of environmental, government regulatory and geopolitical considerations. Jalopnik

You can ALWAYS tell the people who never once went to Deadspin by how hard they cling to the “THIS WAS CAUSE THEY STOPPED STICKING TO SPORPS” lie.

it’d be like ESPN suddenly publishing articles on deforestation. It’s completely irrelevant to the point of the entire site

Deadspin is a sports blog plain and simple.

Their editorial freedom was protected by their contract, and more subjectively by their success (read: lucrative site clicks) and journalistic integrity (stretch for a blog, but you catch my drift). One person was fired, the rest quit.

Because Jalopnik has clearly never posted anything tech related in the past or about the military or spaceflight....... Just look at Torches work over the years, a lot of peices that fall clearly outside of the “stick to cars” that you think the site does. Wait are you Spanfeller? are you the Herb?
