It elects one fat orange guy and suddenly it's an "unholy mess".

Poor guy but it's for the best at this point.
Worst programming too, for the record. But the gamble was part of the fun.
The cable episodes are definitely good but the freedom and spontaneity of the public access years just allowed for the possibility of better programming.
Weird
Honestly, Colbert is definitely the kind of performer who would only benefit from this sort of thing so go for it.
This only makes him cooler.
Yes. Polls shows that in the immediate backlash at least 20 seats have swung in favor of democrats (by which I mean the seats are less of a guarantee for republican incumbents not that the democrats are currently expected to win them). I read this on the Washington Post but I'm way too lazy to google any links.
Where the fuck is Carrot Top????? INVALID!
This is still a huge win for him. He managed to save a lot of face.
Yeah season two was a lot better than season one but the one thing I was really missing was the live aspect. It makes for higher highs but also more boring lows so it's a give and take but I think it's worth it.

Woo
It's a really fun show and I have a strong attachment to it in no small part because Chris listens to a lot of the same music I do.
No shame.
Really? They just straight up steal from a director you admire, one who has a really hard time making a decent living and that isn't enough to get you to stop watching? Has been being a professor made you numb to plagiarism?
Stop watching.
