Yeah “completely above board” has a pretty clear definition, and an impeachable act doesnt qualify. You could have said “questionable but likely appropriate” and garnered a lot more credibility, but for some reason easily dissected hyperbole seems to be the go-to for too many nowadays

It’s an impeachable offense. If you don’t like it then lobby your senator and representative to tell them they should change the rules to allow sitting presidents to request foreign aid against political rivals. I’m sure that’ll be perfectly acceptable to you once someone you don’t like is in office.

He doesn’t even need to withhold the funds. The impeachable offense is in directly asking a foreign power to investigate a political rival. Anything surrounding aid is just gravy. That fits a reasonable definition of “at all.”
