Is that why I’m not seeing nearly as many comments as normal, or hours having gone by with some posts having no comments at all?

Omega seems more like Rey, to me, than Ahsoka. As much as I like Rey, she was nearly infallible from the get-go, like Omega has been. Ahsoka had a lot of growing pains that made her arc so much more satisfying. But, Omega is also only a few episodes old. When Ahsoka was only a few episodes old I never wanted to see Read more

“They’ll get that Nazis point..... in the end” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Mission to Mars. InnerSpace. But admittedly those rides stopped existing quite a long time ago. Maybe because the movies bombed so badly! Hey-ooo!!! (Though I seem to remember InnerSpace being somewhat of a hit.)

Maybe they’ll pull a YouTube where they’ve got one giant soundstage subdivided into several smaller stages and Rock can roll from set to set.  Knock those movies out in 6 weeks and then spend a year on a beach curling Coronas.

Fair enough, though the implication that Aliens was the very first movie to ever have that archetype as you’ve described it is probably not accurate. Read more

Ding ding ding. I’m surprised I had to go this far to find it. What many don’t realize is that digitally-acquired series and movies deal with this stuff almost daily. It’s up to the production just how much they want to spend on QC, which may not catch every dead pixel on every pass, painting out the pixels and Read more

Yeah, I’m a huge Aliens fan, but I’ve seen so many movies where “large group gets pared down to small group gets pared down even further for the final survivors” movies over the decades that calling this a clone when there is so little else that is directly comparable is a bit much. Though admittedly I do remember Read more

As alluded to in the wall of text, you stop the lens down. You don’t actually shoot at f/0.95. You shoot at f/1.8, or f/2.4 or something, where the lens will be sharper than a different lens that is f/1.8 or 2.4 wide open. Read more
